I have a Maytag mtb2191ar top freezer refrigerator. It is leaking onto my floor on the left bottom side of unit. The leaking is intermittent--some days it leaks, other days it doesn't. I can't locate the source, however, it appears to come from my freezer. This unit doesn't have an ice maker; however, I think I could have received this accessory. Any suggestions?

Water is leaking from the bottom of the freezer. It is a side-by-side Maytag,, purchased in 2004. Ice forms at base of freezer, then leaks out onto the floor.

Sounds like you have a frozen drain line. I would unplug the unit at let the drain line thaw. This would be the easiest way to rectify the issue. Leave both doors open for 24 hrs. Hope this helps _MJ_

My Maytag side-by-side refrigerator/freezer Leak

There is a pan and drain hose under the freezer coil that is there to catch any water when the freezer goes into defrost. I feel strongly that is where you will find your leak.

Freezer malfunction

Drain hole is clogged behind the panel that covers the coils. I found a peice of solder blocking mine. Water was freezing on the bottom of the freezer and leaking out to the floor.

Leaks water periodically onto floor bottom left corner freezer side

your freezer cabinet need to get all out and open the back wall
there is a drain hole in the bottom middle of it make sure it is
clean and if you pure water they go all the way
through the pip to the drain pan next to the compressor.
