Computer not responding

Turn on the computer. Press the left "Ctrl" key. When the start-up menu appears, select "Safe Mode" and press "Enter." Once the computer enters safe mode, click the Windows "Start" button. Go to "Settings" and open "Control Panel."

Double-click the "System" icon. Choose the "Device Manager" tab. Press the "+" next to "Display Adapters" to view installed display adapters. Highlight the adapter listed and click "Remove" then "OK." Close all open windows and restart the computer.

Press the "F1" key at the blue HP screen. Enter set-up and press "F5" and "Enter" to reset all data. Press "F10" to save and exit.

Right-click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop. Select "Properties" from the menu. Click the "Hardware" tab, then the "Device Manager" button. Expand "Display Adapters" and right-click the graphics card. Select "Update Driver" from the menu.

Choose "No," and hit "Next," then select "Install From a List." Select the option to show all hardware. Choose "Standard Display Types." Select "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)" and hit "Next." Don't restart the computer.

Click the Windows "Start" button. Go to "Settings" and open "Control Panel." Click "Add/Remove Programs." Remove any i810 and i815 chipset programs. Restart the computer. After it starts up, go into the "Display Adapters" section in "Device Manager."

Open the "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)." In the properties window, un-check the box "Exists in All Hardware Profiles." Click "OK" and shut down the computer. Open the computer case. Install the new video card according to the manufacturer's directions

Cause:-
The reason why your computer is responding like this is because you have recently installed a driver (that was unapproved or flaky in technical terms it was not signed by Microsoft to be genuine) or it can be a software.
Solutions:-
(1)Restart your PC and start hitting the F8 key again and again you will see a list on a black screen. In that screen you should select "Last known good configuration" Select it and your life will go to normal. But as you said nothing has happened
(2)Try this solution. Restart your PC again and go through the same procedure again Pressing F8 repeatedly and On the black screen list select "Start in SAFE MODE". You will see the computer booting with minimum resources. Goto Start button. On the pop up start menu click "Control Panel"and in the opening window select "Add Remove Programs" and then uninstall any program that you have recently installed before your computer crashed you can check the dates also. Similarly if you have not installed any software or program. Then you might have installed a driver. To uninstall a driver go to "My Computer" (in XP)or "Computer"(in Vista and 7) right click it and in the menu click the "Manage" tab and go to "Device manager" on the opening window. Device manager can also be found in control panel. open the device manager. You will find all the Installed drivers on the PC just remove or uninstall by browsing and right clicking them and in the menu selecting "uninstall" that on which you have installed most recently. Restart your computer and the computer should work fine and you should only use drivers that are digitally signed by Microsoft no other.
(3)If the above solutions fail, do one thing go to "Start" on the menu click "Accessories" and then go to "System tools" in the System tools go to "System Restore" and then follow the instruction of the wizard make sure that you have a "System restore point" already created before you continue with the wizard. The Computer will take the Windows image (or as it is technically called restore point) and restores your system without affecting your data and stuff.

1. Open HP Director using one of the following methods:
   • From the desktop : On your computer's desktop, look for the HP Director icon (), and then double-click it.
   • From the Windows taskbar : Click Start , click All Programs , click the HP orHewlett-Packard folder, and then click HP Director .

4. Click the HP Director icon on the taskbar . The software opens and functions normally.
