Remove all the screws around the unit in the rear. don't forget the one behind the handle. as you lift off the front (speakers are mounted on it) look for the AC power board with the on/off switch. small fuse is located there. 4A 125V

I have JBL encounter speakers and i want use them with my Mac, when i plug nothing comes out (sound)

Hi,
Wanted to clarify , if the you plug in a headphone are you are able to get the sound from them . If yes than , you might need to check the connection on the speakers. If the headphones are also not working through the audio jack . You would have to check the following

1. Check if there is any external damage to the audio jacks both on the MAC and the JBL connector
2. Check if the sound properties on the MAC are configured correctly
3. Check if the sound card drivers are installed correctly.

Thanks for using fixya

I have a jbl gt series gt5 a3011 amp light on top comes on but the power light doesnt fuses are good everything seems to be connected right and no sound to speakers .

Run a jumper between the power wire and the remote (disconnect the remote wire from the head unit first). If the amp turns on, you got a blown fuse, or other problem with the remote turn on from the head unit.

No Sound from JBL On-Stage 400

The power supply consists of two parts: the AC cord with a two-prong connector on one end and a double barrel plastic connector; and the large rectangular power supply which has a dual prong receptor on the side and a long cable which plugs into the JBL unit.

In my case, I had plugged the double barrel plastic connector into the dual prong receptor backwards. Even though I was getting full power to the unit, this somehow caused the speakers to become inoperative.

Of course, I would offer a recommendation to JBL that their power supplies are made to be "dummy proof" so this does not happen to others as well.

JBL PSW D100 blown fuse

Not likely. There are no fuses according to the instructions I found for the D-110. I assume they're about the same.

Try it with nothing attached anywhere except the power cord. No light immediately = dead.
