Mine did the same thing. the tub is plugged into a ground fault interupter (gfi) plug. hit the reset button. if this doesn't work, check the circuit the gfi is on, sometimes they are on the same circuit as the plugs at the sink. check them for reset also. if this fails, on the motor of the tub, there should be a reset button. try to reset it. OH first make sure the breaker has not been tripped.

I have a new Jacuzzi air tub and was ready to install. When I plug in the motor, there is a humming noise. What is this?

When you turn on the motor and if it just hums when you turn it on then the motor sounds bad.

I have a Hyflo jacuzzi bathtub pump. I just tried to turn it on and it hums and acts like it wants to work but it's not pumping. I had this problem with a hot tub pump and all I had to do was blee

If you motor is just humming then it is not starting and is no good.
HyFlo pumps were made by HydraBaths in the 1990's. They are no longer made. We have replacements for them.

When I push the button on my american standard jacuzzi tub I hear the hum of the motor but jets don't come on

In my case I took the motor out and used a screw driver to turn the impeller in the front of the pump and the fins inthe back. Put it back together and it worked. I then used 2 tablesoons of dishwashing detergent and 1/2 cup bleach and ran it for 20 minutes to clean and degrease the impellers

My jacuzzi bath tub makes a humming noise when I turn it on, but it will not operate. I tried again later, and still nothing, and not even the hum now.

Pump was humming, suspect air lock, pump could of burnt out, check power to pump and if it blows fuses then you will need a new pump and don't forget to bleed the pump

When I try to turn off my Jacuzzi tub it will not turn off. I pushed the gfi and it went off. I then reset it a few days later and the tub would not turn off and this time the gfi would not shut it off. ...

You will need to have a technician from the store you purchased it from install a new switch.

To be up to code, you should have a GFI for your Jacuzzi to plug into and a GFI circuit breaker dedicated only for your Jacuzzi. I

If you already have it, that's great, but if not check with an electrician for installation.

My jacuzzi has one wall timer that says set after 10 minutes marker."turn past ten then set time" There is one button on the far right corner that depresses. I am a clueless tenant. How do I...

There are a couple things you can try with your tub.. The 10 min timer is one they used on older tubs but, may still be used with yours. Turn timer all the way up. make sure tub is filled with enough water. some have little sensors that wont let it turn on with out enough water. The button may feel spongy because it is using air to turn on the pump switch so give it a good quick push.. also the last things to check will be to check the breaker box and be sure the breaker is on, turn the breaker off and on to test. also look around the room of the tub and look for gfi plugs and switches that may be tripped. they will look like the wall plugs for hair dryers but, may not have outlets on them. just reset all plugs you find in the rooms. Hope this helps you. ask more questions if you need to.

My jacuzzi tub motor will hum but does not run. I

I had this same problem. I looked at the motor, and on one end (the end opposite where the water comes out) there is a hole in the middle. In that hole is a regular screw tip, which can be used to turn the motor. I filled the tub, inserted a slotted regular screwdriver and turned it about 8 times clockwise, then 8 times counterclockwise. You should see the whole motor turn. Doing this loosened it up, and then it started.

Once it started, all kinds or residue came out, which was probably why it had stopped working. I hadn't used it for a while.

After getting it running I'm going to run some cleaning solution through it, and make sure I run it more often to prevent this in the future.

My jets wont turn on

All the electric power source to all jacuzzi tubs all required to be protected by a "ground fault" device. Have you noticed special wall receptacles in your kitchen and bathroom that have 'test' and 'reset' buttons? There may be a receptacle (or something that looks like a receptacle but without any slots for plugs) near the tub. Push the reset button. If the pump for the tub has an access panel, the device may be behind the panel. And last, the circuit breaker in the main electrical panel may be a ground fault type and needs reset there. Good Luck
