I have a electrolux dryer that displays 88..88 on the LCD and none of the buttons are responding to inputs. Any ideas on how to reset the problem.

Apparently it has some settings to do strange things. In the first instance, I would do a Power Reset, unplug it from the mains supply for 15 minutes and then press and hold the on button, then plug it back it.

No idea why someone would turn it upside down.

Difficult without a Model. Electrolux make about a thousand dryers!

To reset your Electrolux dryer, press and hold the "temperature" and "dryness" buttons simultaneously. Keep these buttons depressed for at least six seconds to reset the machine. If this doesn't clear your error code, you likely need service.

brand and model numbers would be very helpful. without this info, I would try unplugging, wait about a minute, then plug back in. sometimes units can be reset by just cycling the power. Good luck.

Based off the information you have provided your icemaker inside of your Electrolux Icon will not shut off and the control is displaying "OFF". I would recommend pressing the up or down arrow three times in five seconds, that should jump start your compressor. If that does not work I would suggest performing a power reset and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. Hope this helps. -Matt

You might have to reset the machine. Unplug the machine for 30 seconds and plug it back in

If the display says '88', then place a heating pad over the display. After a few minutes, the code will clear and the dryer will work. Sounds crazy, but it works for me every time.

You can reset your viewsonic remote control by removing the batteries, and holding the power button down for 10 seconds. Just 10 minutes ago I repaired my remote, which was doing absolutely nothing, not even turning the set off and on, Called Viewsonic, they told me this, and it worked ! Yay !
