You have to ensure that the camera is not set to night mode as this can affect the quality of the pictures you take during day time.
De-activating the night mode will allow it take normal pictures during daytime.

did you try changing the settings on the dial on the top right of the camera? the dial is for different settings for different types of pictures, you would need to set the camera for daytime pics, sounds like it is set up for nighttime.

Blur problems.

With blur, the problem could be the camera, but is usually due to the photographer. You can try using flash, decrease the distance to your subject, before you take the picture, hold the camera very, very still until after the picture is taken. If these things fail, the camera might be defective.

Blurred pictures on action shots

For daytime, make sure the ISO is kept low, say 100, or 200 if a little dull. For nighttime or indoor, you may need to increase the ISO up to the max of 1600.
Check also the AV+/- setting isn't set too high - are the shots brighter than normal? If so, hold the AV+/- button and use the scroll wheel to bring the setting back down.
One other thing to check is your CF card - have you changed cards recently? I have two 2Gb UltraII cards from Sandisk - one is really fast, about 1-2 pictures per second, the other is really slow, about 3-4 seconds per picture. They should be the same but are not.
Also try shooting in AV mode to keep the lens wide open and get the fastest shot possible.
Hope this helps!

SD 110 won't display picture to be taken and comes out a blur

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised and satisfied with Canon's response to your problem:

Multiple flash firing

I would double check all your settings - even though you say it is on any flash setting, it sounds like it is using the nighttime flash setting (which does 2-3 rapid fire flashes).

Just go through every setting in the camera, and make sure that everything is set how you really want it, INCLUDING the daytime/nighttime, etc.

On the CAPTURE menu, check your adaptive light setting and make sure that you don't have it tweaked in some way to make the camera think EVERY picture is a nighttime picture.
I'd also check your "EV COMPENSATION" and "WHITE BALANCE", making sure those are set to "auto".

Hope that will work for you - good luck!
