Coleman blower motor eb15b bought after market replacement, old motor no common wire on the motor but wire from capacitor to transformer. New motor has common wire directly from motor how do I hook it up?

Maybe this new motor is a multi voltage motor meaning it could work with 240 volts and also 120.
If needed for 120 then you used the common .if 240 you don't need it .
Most of the time wiring diagram is on the motor itself

My Roper washing machine will not complete a cycle. It stops before it gets to rinse. If I turn it off and wait a few hours, it will run and finish if I waited long enough. Could the motor be dying?

ATTACHEMENTS ON HOW TO TEST MOTOR


The following test must be made on one-, two-, and three-speed drive motors:

1.
Touch and hold one ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the white/black wire from the motor.

2.touch the other ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the white wire from the motor.

3.The ohmmeter should showZEROresistance (continuity). If not, the drive motor is bad and needs replacing.

Start Winding

4.
Touch and hold one ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the black wire from the motor.

5.Touch the other ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the yellow wire from the motor.

6.The ohmmeter should show a reading between 4-10 ohms.

7.If you do not get this reading, the drive motor is bad and needs replacing.

High Winding

Touch and hold one ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the white wire from the motor.

9.touch the other ohmmeter probe to the terminal on the blue wire from the motor.

10.The ohmmeter should show a reading between 0-4 ohms.

The following three (3) checks must be made on all one-, two-, and three-speed drive motors to check for an internal failure (short):

One at a time touch the other ohmmeter probe to each of the wires (terminals)coming from the drive motor.

The ohmmeter should show an open circuit when each of the wires (terminals)are checked. If not, the drive motor is bad and needs replacing.


HOW TO live TEST a G.E - MOTOR

After removing the cabinet follow the wires from the motor halfway up the tub. Then cut and splice the ORANGE, the BLUE, the VIOLET /WHITE, & the RED wires.
Now using a long long extension cord with the end connector cut off and exposing the 2 end wires stripped back about an inch.

To check the spin cycle: Connect and splice the RED & the Blue wires to one end of the extension cord wire. And the ORANGE & WHITE /VIOLET to the other end of extension cord, be sure to use but connectors or electrical tape. Plug in the cord an the wash cycle should start? If not the motor is bad.

To check the wash cycle: Connect the BLUE and the WHITE/VIOLET wires to one end of cord. And the ORANGE & RED connected to the other end of cord, then plug in and the wash cycle should start? If not the motor is bad.

By the way my advice is free cuz God is good!

Need a pool pump motor schmatic

called the shaft seal, need to know what kind of pump ? take out old seal both parts, spring side and ceramic (white) part and bring to local pool supply, ask how it should be installed.

How do I determine if my my switch on my Blower motor is bad or if my Blower Motor needs replaced. Right now nothing works.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor itself. Then jump 12v tol one of the motor leads and induce ground to the other on the motor. If the motor spins, it's good. Then check to see that you are getting 12v and a good ground from the harness side of that connector that you detached from the motor. That will tell you if the rest of the system is working up to the motor.

Our washing machine is spinning but not agitating. Do I have a problem with the motor coupling?

Yes it can be motor coupling problem or motor related problem.Both the motor coupling and motor itself needs to be checked. Motor coupler it's plastic and rubber and is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. If this happens, you need to completely replace it. Drive motor Many washer brands use a reversing motor. For agitation the motor runs in one direction, for spinning and draining, the other. It's possible for a motor to burn out in one direction and continue to operate in the other. If this happens, you need to replace the entire motor. But if both the motor coupling and motor checks out ok then the transmission and agitator assembly itself needs to be checked. You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com

How do i know for sure if my motor is burned out on my swamp cooler

The easiest way to tell is to ohm it out with a ohmmeter. By disconnecting all power to the unit and motor and letting it set for about an hour or so to make sure the motor is cool, disconnect the motor wires and touch the meter leads to each wire, if you don't get any reading, the motor windings are open and the motor needs to be replaced.
Another way is to check the voltage to the motor, at the motor terminals. If you have the rated voltage for the motor and the motor doesn't do anything and the motor is not hot, then the windings are open and needs replaced, or if you smell the motor getting hot, smoking or tripping breaker or blowing the fuse then the motor is shorted and needs replaced.

I've only seen one of these belts break in my 7 years of fixing Neptune's. I have replaced dozens of motor/ motor control board kits. Maytag upgraded the washer motors about 5 years ago, if yours is older it's probably got the older style motor. If that's the case you need to verify that the motor control board is getting power from the main control board, if it is, then you need to replace both the motor and motor control board (it comes as a kit). If it isn't you need to put 120 volts to the motor control board and see if the motor spins at 50 rpm (normal agitate speed), if it does, you just need the main control board, if it still doesn't run you need the main board and the motor/ motor control kit. If it has the newer motor, you would also need to test and replace the motor and/ or the motor control board separetly.
