These are the universal remote control codes to Vivo TV. 0004 0005 0009. Check this link to know more codes and proceedings to other brands of remote controls, and buy one remote control that has setup codes with your TV. The above said codes are for GE remote with Vivo TV.

Your T.V. is programmed to store the last input you've selected. You have to manually switch it back to your T.V. channel input after each time you switch it to HDMI or any other input even when you turn it off. The "Source" or "Input" button on your original T.V. remote will change this.
Check the electrical outlet which the tv is plugged into. Make sure nothing is loose at the outlet as well as on the back of the tv where the power cable plugs in. Another thing to try is plug a different device into that same electrical outlet and see if it turns on.
