First of all u move the icon of CR to folder Extra. Then create one folder in memory card. Name it according to your choice. While saving give the path of that folder

you might need more software or updates.
Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right.
But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date.
But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing.
Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c Windows Vista: DirectX 10).

My Sony RDR-GX300 DVD Recorder is suddenly only recording the 1st 15 seconds from the DVR. The entire show is on the DVR. I have tried discs that I've used before successfully & new DVD's.

1) pass the Disk cleaner buy to some radio schack, and test it
2) test the cable in another device, and determine if faulty or not.
3) if not clean the terminal from DVD VS TV with c.cleaner
4) otherwise the Syscom inside and another associates circuit is faulty such like record ampl.
go to the repair shop for fix it.
God bless you

Getting lidl silvercrest turntable / audacity to transfer records to computer

Assuming you've installed the Audacity software, first check your recording device. If you use Windows, first check the Audio Control Panel. For Windows 7, click Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound. Under Sound, click on the Manage Audio Devices link. In that window, click on the Recording tab. Select the USB option and make it the active device.

In Audacity, you may also need to make sure that this is the recording device that is active. That should be the third drop down from the left in the Device Toolbar. (If it isn't visible, click View > Toolbars and check it.) The Device Toolbar is right above the recording trace section in my version of Audacity.

Now click Record (the red circle) and start your turntable. Do you see a change in the trace? You should see a flat line for up to 10 seconds and then see this change to a set of high and low values.

If you don't get this, check if your USB ports are working. If you use a USB hub, try a direct connection. Check the device manager under Universal Serial Bus for a triangle with a red x or a yellow triangle. Try updating the driver by right clicking on the device. Also check Windows Update (for an optional update) or your computer manufacturer site for a new driver.

Unfortunately with the USB, you can't hear the recording as it is made. Do a short recording and then stop it. Then play back the selection. Adjust the input volume level lower if your trace is hitting the top of the box. This is clipping and your recording won't include the full signal from your record.

I've used Audacity for recording cassettes through the line in port. You can do this with some turntables if you add a pre-amplifier and use RCA to 3.5 mm adapter. Connect to the line in on the back of the desktop (blue).

If you could not install Audacity, go to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ to get a version that works on your computer's OS.

I hope this helps.

I can not get my Crosley CR248 Songwriter to Finalize when I try to transfer from cassette to cd. It keeps showing me FAIL....

I don't know this particular machine but here are some general comments.
Most CD recorders need you to press (and sometimes hold) the record button followed by the play button before tehy actually record anything (if you don't press the play button you will still hear sound via headphones etc. but no recording file will be created)
Does it record from vinyl records okay or is it just cassettes?
Are you using the correct sort of CD?
We use a Denon CD recorder and it only works with AUDIO CDs - computer data CDs or CDRWs will not work in it. Even if the Crossley will accept computer CDs it may require a particular format either +ve or -ve (labelled CDR+ or CDR-) to be compatible. Once you have tried finalising a disk and it has failed you cannot use the same disk again.

Problem finding saved sound

Symbian OS/S60 phone: With the Voice Recorder on the screen, open Options. Select Go To Gallery. All the recordings you have saved can be accessed from the Gallery. You should see a list of recorded tunes. Highlight a recording, open Options and choose "Set as ringing tone." Windows Mobile phone: When you are still in the Voice Recorder, highlight a recording in the list and open the Menu. Select Set As Ringtone.
If your phone menu doesn't show the Set As Ringtone choice at all, you have to set it manually. Go to the Home screen, push Start, and open File Manager. You have to move the recording from the folder /Storage/My Documents/Notes to the folder /Storage/Application Data/Sounds. Then, go to the Start menu and launch Settings. Select Sounds, open Ring Tone, and pick up the recorded ring tone.
