Hello,
Everyone expects their dishwasher will work correctly.
They can become nonchalant about it until one day it does not function.
Sometimes the dishwasher doesn't drain as expected. Most people
immediately call the plumber when their dishwasher doesn't work. There
are several things you can try at home before having to pay an expensive
service fee.
1 Check the basics. Make sure that
the dishwasher has actually finish the cycle. Your dishwasher will not
drain until the end of the cycle. Many things may have interrupted the
cycle. Check circuit breaker and reset it if appropriate. Also check the
fuse. It is possible that you could have tripped a circuit have way
through the cycle. Make sure the door is properly closed. Ensure you
have chosen a cycle on the dishwasher. It is amazing the problems
children could accidentally cause, that are easy fixes.
2
Remove any excess food at the bottom of the dishwasher. The best
way to do this is with your hands. Large food particles can block from
going into the drain. This is also another extremely easy fix to make
your dish washer to drain.
3 Check to ensure that
the hoses are still attached. Use your manual to find where the hoses
are. If they are not attached the owner's manual will give you
instructions on how the attach the hoses to your specific dishwasher.
4
Attempt to declog the line. Disconnect the hose from
under your sink and see if there are any clogs. Use a hanger or towels,
remove the clog from the hose.
5 Remove the
dishwasher basket. Again refer to your owner's manual for specific
instructions.Normally you will remove it with a screwdriver. Make sure
to work slowly. As you take the basket apart, you will be able to see if
it needs to be cleaned. If there is dirt or debris, you can clean the
parts with a rag or paper towel. After cleaning these parts, you can
replace the basket.
6 Calla plumber. If the
dishwasher is still not draining, the problems are a little more complex
to fix. It is advisable to call plumber to make your dishwasher drain.
Good luck.
Two things to consider....clean water or
dirty water?
Clean water usually indicates the fill valve
is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water
in all the time = new fill valve time!!
Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher
problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the
sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing
up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose.
The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem
indicates a slow house drain for that sink.
The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.
