If you haven't got anti virus on your laptop, install it now. Microsoft Essentials is quite good and free.
Run CHKDSK/F to check for any drive errors.
Click on the battery symbal on your desktop and select power management. De-select sleep mode and stop the hard drive from being turned off when not attended on mains power.
That should cover all aspects of your problem.

Hi there,

We wish you a very Happy New Year.

Which is your operating system?
Below mentioned steps are for Vista, assuming your operating system is Vista.
Post back if it is not Vista.

Run it from the Command Prompt of Recovery Options if you have, or a Vista boot disk. You can
borrow a friends if needed as they are not copy protected or make a repair disk.

And/or Run the other diagnostic tools I listed.

You probably do have hard drive issues its only can they be repaired or not.

If you need to make repair disks - these help repair Windows not re-install.

Hi there, Our Dell Inspiron 1525 specs are as follow: Windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 1 Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @2GHz 2GB RAM - 32-bit OS Symptoms are: - Freezes oftenly after random period...

Do you have any CD's thatcame with your laptop? If so, look for one that has "Diagnostics and utilities"listed under the "Contents". You will have to boot from that CD disk. To dothis, power on your laptop and tap the key to bring you to the "Onetime boot menu". Insert the CD and then select CD/DVD drive and hit key. Select the "Run the32 Bit Dell Diagnostics". Next select the "Express Test" and see if any errorsare detected. If no errors are reported, then your operating system software isprobably the culprit. The blue screen of death can be caused by hardware or software. If Diags pass you probably have a software issue. If you don't have the resource CD press the key while powering the system on. This will run theDell built-in Diagnostics.

I have a dell inspiron 1525 it has error code0003 and error code 2000-0333 can anybody help with this problem Thanks.

yes that is easy, when you run the diagnostics there is this one part where the test shows some color bars, you need to press the y for yes and then it will continue, the error only means that you didn't click on the Y and the time ran out, good luck run another diagnostics and see if there is a real problem

There is a possibility that the laptop is overheating due to an accumulation of dust/dirt. Take the laptop to a repair shop and have them check it out.

My dell Crashes within minutes of turning it on!

This could be a multitude of things, but the first thing that comes to mind is an overheating problem.

To rule out other things, remove and reseat the RAM, HDD, CD/HDD drive, Battery, Wi-Fi/BlueTooth mini adapters, etc.

Also, for further clarification, is there any error indicated on the screen prior to the machine turning off?

Thanks,
Rob

DELL Inspiron 1525 Notebook

go into msconfig and then click on the startup tab. Click on the button that says disable all and then apply the changes. Let the laptop reboot and when it gets back into windows try to go into hibernation mode again and see if it still reboots on you. If it does then its an operating system issue. If it doesn't reboot on you, then go back into msconfig and only enable the programs that you feel you need to run when windows boots up.
