Question about Braun Health & Beauty

1 Answer

On the Braun Oxyjet dental care unit the hose connecting the unit with the water jet holder keeps breaking after some time. The problem could be solved by cutting off the broken part of the hose and reconnecting it. But how do you disconnect the hose, ie how do you take the water jet holder apart so that you can disconnect and reconnect the small hose?

What is a dental water jet?

These jets are also known as oral irrigators or water picks. You use them at home to get rid of plaque and leftover food from your teeth and gums. It works by streaming water at a high pressure.

This dental rinse product is not shooting water out the jet.

The problem is solved - the appliance started to work (water is shooting out the jet) . I didn't do anything but wait overnight. I guess it needed time to wake up after a long sleep. :-)

Blocked washer jet alfa 156

You will probably find there is one or two plastic clips on the washer jet. You can usually get at these from the under side of the bonnet. Be carefull not to force them though because they do get brittle over time. If you do break them you can buy new ones from Alfa or a good motor parts store will probably have universal ones at a fraction of the dealer cost.

Braun KF 600

I am thinking about purchasing this model; so I am very interested in your report.
We are replacing a Braun KF 145 that's about 8 yrs old.

We had a similar problem that was solved by taking care with the coffee filter basket. Always close the basket firmly in place before you place the carafe in position. The overflow problem only occurred when we placed the carafe first and then closed the filter basket.

Maybe the same mechanics apply with the KF600.
