All you need is the Wifi enabled laser printer and a Wifi enabled series of computers. You can also optionally use a router to connect several computers to the Internet. They all work together to have seamless Wifi connectivity and can be used in conjunction with a high speed internet connection such as cable, dsl, or other types of connections that can be shared due to their high bandwidth.

Look for the standard 802.11 n when shopping for products that can connect computers, printers, and the Internet together at a high rate of speed that also is the standard these days.

SOURCE: HP Laser Jet 4700 network card

There are two ways to network your printer.
1. You can just connect your printer to your computer and make this printer shareable on your network. The disadvantage with this method is, your computer and printer must be on when the other computers on your network want to print to this printer. You do not need to purchase a Jetdiredt Print Server card.
2. The other method is to install Jetdirect Print Server card in the blank slot in the printer. This method allows all computers on your network to access the printer any time provided it is switched on.
Of course in both these cases you need a working network and router/hub.
Please advise me which method you want to employ and I can then instruct you how to set your printer up on your network.

I purchase hp laser m1005, can i convert to wireless

Not that I am aware of , but to print from it wirelessly can be done if you have a home network. If you have a Destop computer ,for instance, you could connect via a printer cable to the desktop and share the printer on your home network you set up. on your laptop just add a printer and it will work wirelessly as a network printer.

What do I need to connect the Dell 3100cn printer to a toally wireless network?

To be able to set up wireless printer configuration, there are three basic items that you need to have. They are a high-speed broadband Internet connection (with modem), a high speed wireless router and wireless network adaptors. These three items will be used in setting up the wireless printer. Assuming that there is already an existing network in the home or office space, then all that is needed to do to make the printer available in the network through the operating system's networking wizard. If not, then the network must first be established, only then the printer will be made available through that network.

How do i set it up on my wirless network?

How to set up the printer on wireless? This printer does not support wireless, but you can set up your laptop or computer wirelessly. Simply connect to your wireless network, then(IN VISTA) go to Connect to a Network and click the "add a printer button". The best thing is to buy a printer from a different company though, because with this printer, when the toner life ends, you cannot print anymore(even though there is a lot of toner left in the cartridge!)

I need to add IBM Infoprint 1116 to my home network using IP address. How can I change already setted IP and gatway addresses on it to needed?

If you know ip address of printer then you can access your printer with web interface for that type your printer ip address in internet explorer address bar.
then you can access configuration of printer.
But if you don't know ip then you need to check network configuration menu of printer .
For that press menu button of printer then enter in network settings then you can know the printer ip address.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Can't connect the Brother PC fax v2 in a home

You need to set the IP address correctly in the Network Settings.. Make sure it corresponds with the routers IP address and is on the same Network... what I mean by this is .. the gateway should be 192.168.1.1 or similar the printer should be 192.168.1.10 or in that fashion... the 1 after the 168 is the network and the last number of 10 or what ever is the number the device is on the network.. sort of like a home address on a city street.. sounds like you need a person there that knows how to set this up properly... to connect it to the router and configure it properly... Look up a Geek!

I want to buy a printer for infrequent home use. I had anhp deskjet 3550 which isn't working anymore. I had found buying the ink for it very expensive. Could you reccommend a printer?

Infrequent use of inkjet printers causes the printhead to dry up and block which means purchasing new printhead to print.
If you are only interested in non-colour prints then the best alternative is a laser printer and these do not suffer from infrequent use. Small home laser printers are now very affordable. You can also purchase 2nd hand office laser printers, these are a good option and usually have built-in network print servers. The cost of a toner cartridge is a lot higher but they print 2500 or more pages depending upon the toner cartridge capacity BUT the cost per page is a lot lower than inkjet printers.
