Is the phone actually connecting to the phone line? You can enter a number and tell it to dial, and the phone will, but if you never got a dialtone the call won't go anywhere. If you press the TALK button, do you hear a dialtone? If not, you'll need to check the base unit connection to the phone line. The cord may have come loose at one of the ends, or some problem has occurred on the phone line. Maybe another phone in the house isn't properly hung up.

If you do get dialtone, make sure you're dialing a complete number. Maybe one of the numbers isn't being entered, and the phone line is waiting for the rest of the numbers. This is actually unlikely, since if you are connected but don't place a call after some time, an error message comes from your service provider.

You can also try re-registering the handset. If it's not communicating properly with the base, this will usually get it going.

Then, if other handsets are working and this one doesn't, it's just an electronic failure of some kind in the handset. If it's still covered by a warranty, let Vtech fix or replace it. Otherwise you'll need to purchase a replacement or see what service options are available.

Can you speed dial on the Panasonic KX-TG4011?

This model doesn't have a speed-dial or one-touch dialing feature. It does have a phonebook feature that allows you to store up to 50 phone numbers, and you can select an entry and the phone will dial automatically. Not quite the same, but it's all that's offered. The manual gives the steps for entering names and numbers into the phonebook, and for selecting and dialing an entry.

Samsung s8300 how do i speed dial using keyboard

Hi, I found a way to get Speed Dial on the Eternity or Ultra Touch . As follows: [most of this from Phonebook/More/Settings/1 ]

1. Copy all address book entries from Sim to Phone Memory.
2. Delete all Sim Address book entries.
3. Switch Address book source to Sim.
3. Re-enter up to 99 speed dial entries in Sim, in the exact order you want them to be assigned to speed dial.
4. Switch Address book source back to Phone Memory.
From now on all numbers on the Sim will be in Speed Dial and you will view the address book from phone memory. Of course any number can be in both places.
Now to speed dial just enter 1#, 2# etc for any number in the Sim Address book. You will get to view and confirm the entry and then dial. In a way this is even better then the speed dial functions on older Samsungs, as the preview before dialing ensures you have the right speed dial entry.
I think it works fine. dk

Forgot how to add new phone numbers and names to my phone

Creating Phonebook Entries To store names and numbers in your Phonebook, please follow these steps: When the phone is in standby mode, press [phonebook icon] (on the left side of the four-way key). To create a new phonebook entry, press the NEW soft key. Edit Name appears. Enter the name for this entry (Edit Name). Use the keypad to enter a name for this entry; the name can contain up to 1 6 characters. (See page 1 1 for instructions on entering text.) If you do not want to enter a name for this entry, your phone will store this entry as No Name. Press the OK soft key when you are finished. Enter the number for this entry (Edit Number 1). Once you have stored a name, EDIT NUMBER1 appears next. Use the number keypad, [right] or [left] on the four-way function key, or the DELETE soft key to enter the phone number 1 ; the phone number can contain up to 32 digits. If you need the phone to pause between digits when it’s dialing (for example, to enter an extension or an access code), press [redial/pause] to insert a two-second pause. You will see a P in the display. You can also use more than one pause together if two seconds is not long enough. Each pause counts as one digit. Press the OK soft key when you are finished. EDIT NUMBER 2 appears next. Use the same procedure when entering the phone number 1 to enter the phone number 2. Press the OK soft key when you are finished. Assign a personal ring tone for this entry (Personal Ring). You can attach a personalized ring tone to each phonebook entry; the phone will use this ring tone when this person calls. Move the cursor to highlight one of the 20 different ring tone options. As you highlight each ring tone, you will hear a sample of that tone. When you hear the ring tone you want to use, press the OK soft key. If you do not want to use a personal ring tone for this phonebook entry, select the NO SELECTION option, and the phone will use your standard ring tone setting. Assign this entry to a Speed Dial number (Speed Dial). Your phone has 1 0 speed dial numbers, 0 to 9. Move the cursor to select the speed dial number you want to assign to this phonebook entry, and press the OK soft key. Select NO SELECTION if you do not want to assign this entry to a speed dial number. Press the OK soft key. You will hear a tone confirming that the new phonebook entry has been stored, and DONE! appears in the display. Note: When the shared memory is full, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

How to set up Speed Dial on a Uniden phone?

My Mom had this same problem.   I found these instructions on Uniden's website (uniden.com) under the "Owner Manuel" section.

Here you go - good luck!

Using the Speed Dial Memory
Storing Numbers in Speed Dial Memory
Your cordless phone can store up to ten numbers (up to 20 digits each) in the speed dial
memory. To store number in memory:
1) When the phone is in standby, press [memory]. The talk/batt low LED flashes.
2) Use the keypad to enter the phone number.
(To enter a 2-second pause between numbers, press [redial/
pause]. Each pause counts as a digit. )
3) Press [memory] again.
4) Select the speed dial location where you would like to store the
number ( [0] to [9] ). You will hear a confirmation tone indicating
that the number has been stored.
NOTE:
• Storing a number to a speed dial location will
overwrite the any previously stored number without
warning.
• When storing numbers into memory and the handset is idle (i.e., no key is
pressed) for more than 0 seconds, it will beep rapidly, and then the phone
will return to standby.
Dialing a Stored Number
1) When the phone is in standby, press [talk], and listen for a dial tone.
2) Press [memory] and enter the speed dial entry ([0] – [9]) that has the stored number
you want to dial. (If you enter a digit that does not contain a stored number, the
handset will beep rapidly, and the phone will not dial.)
Chain Dialing
The speed dial memory is not limited to phone numbers. You can store any number (up
to 20 digits) that you need to enter once your call connects. This is referred to as Chain
Dialing. An example is a frequently refilled prescription number. Store your pharmacy
phone number in one speed dial and your most frequently refilled prescription number
as another speed dial. To use, once you ring your pharmacy's automated prescription
line, simply press [memory] and the speed dial number where you stored your account
number.
Erasing a Stored Number from Memory
1) With the phone in standby, press [memory] twice.
2) Press the number of the speed dial entry. A tone indicates that the stored number is
erased from memory.
