My Ac will run fine for about 2 hrs and then bog down creating a significant voltage drop and if connected to a generator will trip the overload switch on the generator. This only occurrs after the temperature is reached and he compressor is restarting. This is a penguin 13500 Duo therm ac with an auto thermostate located on the wall. could this be a bad thermostate or a time relay switch that is faulty?

Thanks I will replace the thermostat.
My Penguin used to do the exact same thing. It is now at the point that it will trip the generator cut out on the very first try and will now only start running on full 50 amp shore power, but no longer cools while rapidly cycling the compressor on and off? Can the excessive draw on start up be caused by the thermostat? It is on a 2007 unit.
