Hi, I'm assuming my line is frozen. It says H F, and no water is coming out. The laundry room doesn't have any heat going to it. I'm trying to warm up the room to see if I can get it going. Please let me know if there are any other things I can do to get my Maytag Epic front loader washer to start working.

This error code indicates a water supply problem.

Are both the hot and cold water faucets turned on?

Turn on the water. Check the household faucets to see if the hot and cold water faucets are turned on. Completely open both faucets for proper fill.

NOTE: Both hot and cold water must be connected to the washer and turned on; the washer will not properly operate with only one incoming source of water.

Are the water inlet hoses kinked?

Straighten the water inlet hoses.

Are the water inlet valve screens on the washer clogged?

Turn off the water and remove inlet hoses from the inlet valves in the back of the washer. Inside the inlet valves are screens. Remove any accumulated film or particles from the screens. Reinstall hoses, turn on water, and check for leaks. See the Installation Instructions for details; find them by entering your model number in the search tool below.

Is the water pressure less than 10 psi?

If the water pressure is too low, the washer may not properly operate. To find out your exact pounds-per-square-inch (psi) value, contact your local water utility company.

Are you using HE High Efficiency detergent?

Use only HE High Efficiency detergent. Using non-HE detergent, or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of detergent, can cause excessive suds. The excess suds can prevent the washer from detecting the incoming water.

Concentrated detergents labeled 2x and higher will require a small amount of detergent based on load size. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.

Just bought it and want to know how to fill it with water

Depending on your house you should have a water line to connect the washing machine to, along with a drying machine gas line and vent. Usual places to look would be garage, second floor storage/laundry room or a first floor storage/laundry room. It should have 2 hose connections, one for hot and one for cold water, also a drain pipe for the washing machine.

I do not have any water coming into my house at all the lines are not frozen and there is water at the meter

usually there is also a main water valve where the water enters the house. often times just below an outside faucet on the front of your house. or if you live in a part of the world that freezes during winter, the valve may be in a laundry room or where the water heater is located. good luck.

Cold water line frozen going into washing machine

If you can find the frozen section and it is easily visible, you should try to defrost it with a hair dryer. The problem will be finding it. It is likely behind sheetrock. If that is the case, then just raise the thermostat and keep the door open to allow for circulation of air in the room to defrost it. Something else you can do if you have an area sensitive to freezing in the house, is find a faucet near the washer and let the water run just a little (drip) to keep the water moving during deep frosts.

Water did not drain

see the causes and fix it. God bless you
If your washer won't drain, check these: It spins, but doesn't pump It doesn't spin or pump It pumps, but the water returns It spins, but doesn't pump If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port. Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job. If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump. It doesn't spin or pump If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. It pumps, but the water returns If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine after the spin cycle, your washer may be siphoning the water from a laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the washer. The usual remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is something stuck in the drain?) Also, check for these problems: If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess. If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Hi i have a refrigerator and the water is not working but ice maker works i need help please

You might have a water line frozen in the door. First seperate water line connection to door at bottom hinge. If its a push in fitting, push in collar on end while pulling out tube. Close doors and have someone activate water in door. be sur to hold glass under tube from underneath. If water comes out, line in door is frozen. You can try heating back of door liner behind the dispenser with a hair dryer to see if it starts working again. Be careful not to melt plastic.
Many had this problem. If the heating gets it going, it will probably happen again. There were some tht had a heater kit for this problem. If not, only fix is to replace door.

Whirlpool GS6SHAXMQ Side by Side Refrigerator - Ice Maker Problem

This happened to me after i had to move the freezer and it was unplugged for a while. When it was plugged back in the ice maker would not work.

Assuming both the ice maker itself and the rear water AC solenoid switch are actually not broken and are functional, and you are getting water from front door dispenser, then check the inside supply tube (black) is not frozen and blocked. Check with q-tip or feel to see if frozen.

If supply tube is frozen, thaw by holding up small full clear glass of heated water placing the frozen tube into the heated water. The clear glass will allow you to see when ice slips out.

Next try resetting the freeze cycle. Turn off the ice maker switch, remove the maker by carefully disconnecting the inside power cord. You will need to remove the inside door flap. Rinse the maker with warm water, allow to come to room temp.

Re-install maker, connect power cord. Turn on ice maker switch. Make sure Infrared sensor is not blocked. Now wait for temp change and listen for water to fill tray. It took maybe ten minutes for me. You will be able to hear the water fill with the door closed.

Again, this assumes nothing is actually broken.

This worked for me. Good luck.

Two possibilities, the element has shorted to ground and must be replaced or the centrifufal switch in the drive motor has frozen contacts.

Frozen drain lines from house

If it is your drain line frozen there must be a clog in the line somewhere because drain lines should never hold water. If it is a trap or goose neck under your house or trailer, you can carefully thaw them with a propane torch very slowly, or a Heat Gun very slowly, or even a Blow Dryer. After the trap or gooseneck is thawed out, run some hot water until your drain works as it used to. Then you can put Heat Tape on the trap so it does not happen again. Use the proper heat tape rated for metal or PVC plasic pipe according to instructions. Disconnect the electrical supply for the Heat Tape in the Spring as weather permits.....Joe
