I would also like to add that I had been having this same problem. What ended up being the problem was a wire had been "cut" in half. It was the red wire that connects to the thermostat, if you followed that wire the problem was where it ran by the dry fan. I can only assume that the fact that we have disassembled the combo frequently to clean out the condensing duct (we have a dog) we had somehow wired it in two. Weird thing was we at first thought it was the thermostat. We had ran through the checks and the voltage was 120 and when we preformed the live test the temperature gun was reading 300F when pointed at the element. So once we were reassembling we decided to check it again and it was reading nothing and the element wasn't getting hot at all. We must have just wired it in two during this last disassembly. But it was obviously not connecting during dry hence the DHE error code and the PF code sometimes as well!
