Not sure if you got the solution but anyway - for anyone else who gets this problem - to get the sound menu options, switch off viera link first.

I have the Panasonic TX,-43CX750E and had a problem with audio description on some channels, to turn it off I pressed the option key on the remote, went to 'AV Options' and then selected 'Multi Audio' and set this to 'eng' it was originally on 'NAR'

This turned off the audio description, the only problem is it defauts to 'NAR' every time the channel is changed

Find the best audio setting for panasonic tv

There isn't a best audio setting. We recommend you simply use the TV's audio menu to manipulate the sound until you find your preferred values.

When you first turn tv on the sound works after a few moments sound goes off and stays off

isolate it to the TV, an input, or an input device.
it might be just the tv audio config.
hit menu on the remote and follow ur nose thru to the audio section - or RTFM.

I just bought a Sony sound bar ht-st7 I have a Panasonic tc-p50vt25 tv and and a Panasonic blueray player these products don't have ARC. I have been using the red white cable connected to my cable box the...

Your TV does support Audio Return Channel (ARC). Try connecting your Bluray player to HDMI 2 and your sound bar to HDMI 1(ARC). You will need to make sure that VIERA link is turned on in the Setup menu of the TV.

No Sound on my Panasonic TC-L55E50

simple things to do:

Look first to see if have sound when a DVD etc connected to a rear audio/video input has sound, this rules some things out.

Look in menu to see if for some reason the speakers in the set got switched to OFF.

I have an older Panasonic HDTV Viera and I am trying to hook up a Panasonic DVD/sound suround model SA-HT920 and am not having any luck getting it too work. I have the sound turned off on the tv speakers...

What does the TV really need from the receiver in all of this? Minimally, Component video for the DVD and managing the SA-HT920, not much else.

A TV is not normally an optimal source of audio.

Your broadcast TV-related sound would be higher quality and easier to obtain if you got it from the Cable or Sat box you probably have. Route ITS BEST (digital multichannel) audio directly to the SA and and its BEST (HI-DEF) VIDEO directly to the TV. You could also run vanilla analog audio to the TV so you can watch news in lo-fi audio on the TV.

The exact model of TV would be helpful to know as audio capabilities may vary.

Should you still feel the need to run TV-originated audio to the SA from the Viera through its headphone or audio output, connect that to any available analog RCA input.

Connection of a jack into the audio output will pass unmodified TV audio to the SA. That's a good thing as the REAL audio electronics needs an unmodifed source for best results.
