Re: Jura impressa f7 decalcifying pressed rinse but does...
First you have to turn the machine off and then press and hold rinse buttom until you read empty tray and then follow the rest of the instructions. Good luck
I'm having this problem too, even after turning the machine off and back on again. I can hold the rinse button a long time but never see "empty drawer" message. Any other tips? If your machine is not displaying the descale or decalcify option, you can try forcing it into descaling mode. To do this, press and hold the rotary switch until "RINSE" is displayed. Briefly press the rotary switch again until "RINSE" lights up. Turn the rotary switch until "DECALCIFY" is displayed. Product Support - JURA
Do you mean the Jura Impressa C65? If you are prompted to clean the machine, first touch and hold the Maintenance button for ~2 seconds. You will be prompted to empty the tray. Empty both the drip tray and the grounds container. Replace these. Press Rinse and place a container under the spout. Touch the Maintenance button again. Wait while the water flows into the container. When the water stops flowing, the LCD screen will change from "Cleaning" to "Add tablet". Open the cover of the filler funnel for coffee grounds and place the Jura cleaning tablet in the filler funnel. Close the cover. Touch the Maintenance button again. Wait for the Cleaning cycle message to be replaced by the "Empty Tray" message. Empty the drip tray and coffee ground container again and replace them. The coffee maker will be ready to use when you see Espresso Heating. The procedure for descaling is in the manual.
I have 3 different coffee machines and all 3 are descaling like you said using only the froter so that is normal .... Unless you misstyped the question
You need to be patient and keep pressing the rinse button. I took a few water tanks of rinsing before it clicked over to heating mode. The manual and DVD need to mention this!
You should probably run a cleaning cycle with a cleaning tablet (the one you drop into the ground coffee shoot, not a decalcifying tab). This will clean out all the insides where coffee particles and oil can accumulate. The machine will ask you to run a cleaning cycle after a certain number of cups brewed. But you can also manually start it.
(this is copied from the manual)
You can run a tablet cleaning cycle at anytime even if the machine does not prompt you, • READY. Push and hold the Rinse button until display shows RINSE. The Dial illuminates. • Turn the Dial until display shows CLEANING. Push the Dial. Display shows EMPTY DRAWER. (Follow the rest of instructions for regular cleaning cycle)
If you have a rotarywheel; Press and hold to enter the menu, turn to Maintenance, select Decalcify unit; empty tray as requested, fill up 600ml water in a container. Disolve 3 Descaling tablets in the water, and then fill it in the watertank. Press Maintenance button and you`re off.
If you don`t have a Rotary; Turn off the machine and let it cool down for a while, then push the Rinse/Maintenance button for a few seconds; then you will get the message Empty tray. Fill the solution in the watertank and press button.
It`s important that you use the right amount of water, or else the process will "never" finish.
