Check for any air path obstructions and see if the fan is working, if not it needs replaced or checkd out. You can try and put a fan behind the unit to keep it cool this will sometimes work but the main reason is the set is getting to hot and it shuts itself down to protect itself from a failure.
hi,
There is some over heating problem in you television. there will be two fans inside you television. if any of the fan get faulty then that section of you TV will get over heated and will shut off by itself preventing from further damages. Check the two fans. For that you have to open your TV.
ok
Sounds like a heat problem. Check to make sure that if it has a internal fan that it is working, and clean any dust build up, most projection tv's have fans, usually the number of flashes indicate a code that repeats.
Sounds like it is heating up on the inside. If you take the back cover competely off you will see that you have 4 fans on the inside, 2 big fans one on each side, one to cool the lamp and either 1 or 2 little fans which are located on the electrical box on left side and sometimes one that is mounted behind the DMD Board which is located behind the engine assembly. Because it is shutting down it tells me that the fan to cool the lamp is faulty. What happens is the fan cools the lamp, if the lamp gets too hot the television shuts down to protect itself from damage. Because AKAI parts are extremely rare to find I recommend not attempting to even turn on the television until you are able to replace the lamp cooling fan. If you see it is spinning it doesnt always mean that it is working because it may not be spinning fast enough. Good luck in finding a fan for it.
First CK Fan that cools Lamp if it stops running then Lamp will shut off Fan is either defective or Ballast Board needs to b replaced But if you have never replaced Lamp it could be the Lamp CK Fan first Go to website Encompass Parts Distr. they have everything you need and Parts List as well as a service manual for your TV 1-800-638-3328
i'd check the power supply
or the fan. the tv will shut itself off if it gets too hot or doesn't
register the fan as working, not to mention need full juice to run....
