Windows won't as a rule allow format of an older system onto a newer system, it goes into protect mode.
If you are trying to format the laptop with say XP and you have XP with SP3 installed, because SP3 is newer than XP it will try to stop you from destroying the newer system. Matbe you are running out of space?

Hi, i want to format my laptop which is toshiba portege 7200 series pentium III, what is the compatible driver for its audio? give me the site pls...thanks

Here you go,
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/SUPPORT_PORTAL/
This is the search section - turn your Tosh over and find the product label... note the details they want and fill them in - IF you can connect using your Tosh... just click Auto detect... then look for the drivers you want (note there may be more than one.. choose the latest...)

My laptop keeps restarting all the time after i turn it on it only say TOSHIBA pres F2 for the boot and thats it. my laptop is TOSHIBA portege 7200

It seems to be a hard drive failure.
Your laptop can not see the boot files.
Try to repair windows using recovery disc or to reinstal a fresh copy of windows.
if you are installing a fresh copy and you will get a error message like no hard disk found.. try to check hard disk.

What wifi card is compatable with the toshiba protege 7200 cte seies?

I haven't found any PCMCIA WiFi cards that is NOT compatible with the 7200 cte's. However, the 3COM XJack wireless cards probably make most sense - a pop out antenna when needed - due to the location of the pc card slots in this laptop.

Toshiba Portege 7100 SlimLine Notebook

they should be the same the close number just means that they revised something... most laptops have builtin wi fi but if it doesnt just buy a cheapie usb or pc slot card! I would NOT reccomend that you install windows vista on your pc.....there are still yet too many problems with them and you will have A VERY hard time getting drivers that are compatible

as far as the rest of the specs... ask the seller! they should know or see if it says on the ebay auction page
