It will turn on but the only screen I get is orange backgroung with a tom tom pic and flashing x . touch screen won't work??????? Please help I can't fined troubleshooting infio anywhere Thanks Wendy

If you turn on your tom tom gps device and the only thing that comes on is the tom tom display screen, then you need to reset it first. To reset it, what you have to do is to hold down the power on/off button for about 15 seconds and that will reset your tom tom, if it does the same, then you have to reinstall the tom tom application on it.
To reinstall its software, you connect it to a computer then it will detect the device, then the latest software downloads will come up, download it on to your gps, now when you plug it into your car and turn it on, it will get passed the tom tom display screen and start up normally.

Programs tab - select COM4
Hardware tab - GPS hardware port = (None), Baud rate = 4800
Access tab - Check the box for "Manage GPS Automatically"

Hit OK

Then open TomTom

Touch the signal bar then the signal bar again

OR

Go to Preferences then Show GPS status

Hit - Configure
Select - Other NMEA GPS receiver
Ensure the baud rate is set at 4800
hit Done
Select COM4:

you need to conect it to your computer so the software can fix it.

Hold a flash light on an angle to the screen see if you can see the picture in the backgroung. If you can bad inverter.

Try initializing the camera. Error 91 is a flash error in Sony cameras. It is probably a dead flash fuse on the motherboard (most common problem) or a faulty flash board. If you have a multimeter, I can help you locate and test the fuse and if you have a soldering iron - even fix it. My e-mail is [email protected]. The shutter doesn't work - the leafs may be stuck or the shutter cable is broken. You should contact your local Kodak service center.

i have a tomtom xl i conected it to the computer and now the touch screen doesnt work it turns on ok and displayers the map but if i touch the middle of the screen it selects some thing else is there a way to reset the touch screen back to the centre if you can help plz email me at [email protected]

This is a battery save setting.
Check settings under Battery Saving Preferences, choose Never Turn Off Screen
