Xbox 360's disk drive is starting to fail.Knocking on the top of the Xbox (when its on its side) while loading a game cansometimes get it to work, but at some point you will need to have your Xbox repaired by Microsoft or replace it.
the fatal "open tray" error im thinking is what you mean. reads for a couple seconds (much longer than usual, up to 30 seconds), then says open tray? i've heard of many many solutions. one is to pull on the tray when its open, and up, if its laying on its side, gently, not to break it. laying it on the side and putting a cd in, hit it gently (not to hard like your knocking on a door) and it might load. ive heard of opening the tray, taking the cd out, unplugging it and plugging it back in, then turning it on with the cd in...but that one didnt work for me. you can open it and do things directly to the laser, but check to see if you xbox is underwarrenty. if it is just send it in and it should get fixed for free.
