I get a Staple Detect error each time I try to scan a page. I've checked all of the rollers; they are fine. There are no staples anywhere in the picture. Can I turn Staple Detection off?

I presume you are using CpaturePerfect3 Scanning software. There is an option to stop checking of 'staples'.
In Canon 9080C staples are NOT detected by any metal detector! You'd notice a set of LEDs on one side and a set of sensors on the opposite side of the scanner wall, just above the paper tray. Incase there is a document thats stapled, while one sheet is going in, the other sheet will get lifted because of staple. Thus when there is obstruction in the LED sensor, it is presumed to be a stapled document. Conversely, even if a document is bent enough to block the sensors, the scanner assumes it as a stapled document. Ensure your documents are fairly flat.

SAYS STAPLE DETECTED BUT NO STAPLE

Try cleaning the staple detection sensors in the machine. Most of the time if you blow air gently into the machine to clear dust from the sensors.

Every time I scan a page it has a thick black line on the left side.

Turn the page around LOL

Seriously, you probably have something on the roller that you feed the paper through. Look in the appendix for how to clean it. Usually it involves a damp cloth or a set of cleaning papers that you can get at an office supply place for about $10.

Of course, the ugly part is if it's like my Panasonic that I scored the drum with a staple and the line was forever until I changed the drum. Hope for the dirty roller.

When I scan a stack of papers the scanner pulls more than one sheet. Is it a roller issue?

If the rollers are worn out or dirty this can happen. Clean them if dirty or replace them if worn out. Dont use any solvent to clean them. The '******' roller prevents taking up of two or more pages, this needs proper cleaning.
Please 'fan' the documents so that they are not stuck to each other. With stapled documents, even after removing staples, the pages are held together at the place where the staple was present. Role the sheets and ensure they are separated.

I have a HP Scanjert N6010 that will not scan more than one page at time. If you even put in two pages it will pull both through at the same time.

The Main Problem I have found when it pulls through more than one page at a time is if the pages were stapled then the staple holes will pull all the pages together.

There is one big pickup roller in the middle of the scanner if you open the front flap, remove theat pickup roller and clean with some computer foam cleaner and a lint free cloth or a screen wipe and reboot the scanner.

Kind Regards

Fi-6130 scanner displays J1 paper jam after

Hi,

Does the message shows after few pages scanning or is there any panel error message like J-1 on scanner start up?

If the issue occurs during scanner start up, then there are staple pins or dirt might be stuck inside the US Sensor panel inside the scanner. Cleaning and removing the objects will resolve the issue.

If the error occurs after few pages scanning, then you may have to check the Pick Roller, Brake Roller, Pinch Roller and US Sensor FX status. you may have to replace any of the above, if damaged or worn off.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Please check your device first and get back to me.

Thank you.

Not scanning or copying when using the ADF on HP laserjet 3055

Based on the assumption it's mechanically ok, check the cable connection between the document feeder and the base, if damaged or worked look it can cause errors. If it is a sensor error, check for a small bit of paper or even a staple from a prior jam.
