If you still have the original packaging, sometimes there is a serial number on the box itself. If you save receipts in an organized fashion, some retailer's include the serial number on the store receipt as a warranty/proof of purchase tool.
If you go to
Toshiba support and enter your model number, it tells where the serial number on yours was located, (usually the missing sticker underneath.)
I'm not sure whether Toshiba includes the serial number in a support utility, but they may have some ideas. Did you ever register it with them? You can contact them directly
here.
Finally, have you called Mobile PC to see if they keep those kind of records anywhere? See
here.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

I also need belts for a Toshiba PC-X20 Cassette Deck. This is an old deck and I guess these are the original belts. Mine too have turned to jelly and I am having to use alcohol to clean the black sticky residue from the rollers and spindle. Does anyone know the original part numbers or reference numbers for these 3 belts? This is a very nice deck and I would hate to have to throw it out with the trash..
Looking for belts for my Toshiba cassett deck , pc-x20.
