Songs don't match song titles

Recently, I added a couple of new songs on my M230. Now, about 20% of the songs that play have an incorrect song title. Any way of correcting that, short of deleting everything and starting from scratch?

Imported playlist from iTunes shows no song titles.

Hi, I suggest you to simply re-do this playlist, once done do not move it, so the best way is to save it straight to the folder you want it. Then you should do a re-detection from the squeezeserver control panel. thanks and have a nice day ! J -

How to Create a Playlist in iTunes

For many of us, using an iPod with iTunes is simple and second nature, but for a beginner, iTunes can be a confusing place. For this reason, I have created this how-to of how to create a playlist in iTunes.
Playlists are easy and fun. They allow us to have a good mix of songs to work out with, do household chores with, or just hang out with. Here is how to create a playlist in iTunes.

First, you must open iTunes

Once opened, click "File" > "New Playlist". For those of you who prefer to use command keys, you can press Ctrl+N, and it will do the same thing.

You will be taken to a screen with no songs listed on it. This is your new playlist. It is titled "untitled playlist," and the title is highlighted. To change the title, simple type the desired title and then click anywhere else. If the title is no longer highlighted because you clicked elsewhere, simply click the title twice (slowly), and it will once again become highlighted.

After the playlist is titled, you are ready to begin adding songs. To do this, simply go to your music collection by clicking "Music" on the left column and selecting the song you want from your collection. Once the desired song is selected, simply drag it on top of the playlist title. This will add the song to the playlist.

Once multiple songs have been added, you can drag a song up or down in the list to change the song order.

After all of the desired songs are in the playlist, simply connect your iPod and sync it with iTunes. Your playlist is now ready to be listened to.

My song titles are messed up in my Samsung YP-Q1 MP3 player!!

Plug in your MP3 player to your computer. Open
the player list. Locate the songs you want to change and right click on the song. One of the options listed should be "rename". Simply type in the name you wish and left click in any blank area on the screen.

Problem with my ripped music

I clearly understand your problem.....the best way to sort it would be to create a new music folder...put all album folders separately in this new folder....rename songs in the respective albums folder and then sync this folder to your player....try with a couple of songs first...if it works you can change your entire library as mentioned above....a difficult job...but helps manage your music better..:)

Song Names show up incorrectly on ILO Mp3 player. Wrong format?

The funny~.mp3 names are usually because the title field is not filled in in the mp3 property tags, so it uses the DOS version of the filename for the title. Under windows, right click the song and select properties->summary->advanced, and make sure that the title field under "description" has what you want in it. I don't think even the makers of Ilo know how it organizes the files.
