Hob under guarantee thank goodness - new control panel fitted, solved the problem for a year then it all started again. Now won't switch on at ALL. Engineer just came says part obsolete so we qualify for replacement - am considering induction even if I have to pay extra as the hob itself doesn't heat up just the pan. Sorry I can't be more positive :-(

My Hotpoint induction hob is flashing error F14. What do I do too rectify this please?

Error F14 on a Hotpoint induction hob typically indicates a problem with the touch control panel. Here are a few things you can try to fix this error:
  1. Disconnect the power supply to the hob for a few minutes, then reconnect it and see if the error persists.
  2. Try cleaning the touch control panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or grime that may be causing the error.
  3. If the problem persists, you may need to reset the touch control panel. To do this, you will need to locate the reset button, which is usually located underneath the hob or inside the control panel. Press and hold the reset button for a few seconds, then release it and see if the error persists.
If these steps don't fix the problem, it's possible that the touch control panel is faulty and will need to be replaced. You may need to contact a professional for this repair.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

My candy ceramic hob alternating flicking F and H? What's wrong?

The 'H' symbols will flash in the display the first time your hob is connected and switched on. This is because the hob has been heat tested at the factory, then switched off while still hot. This may also happen if you are using the hob and you have a power cut.

Error code F1 indicates that the power is too low due to unsuitable cookware or an empty pot. Error code F indicates that there is no cookware on the zone or the cookware is unsuitable.

Hotpoint ceramic hob willnot turn on power is on hob just dead

If the lights are coming on there is a great possibility that your plate needs replacement. Unfortunately electronic items usually don't come with any warranties, so make sure it is the plate before purchasing a new replacement. Regards bandha

Hi I have a Samsung ceramic hob that when I have the oven on and cooking veg in saucepans it cuts out randomly displaying SE flashing I'm guessing its overheating but how can I fix this ? It makes

An SE error message on the display of a Samsung ceramic hob means the control panel sensor has been on for too long.
There are a few reasons why the sensor could be saying it's been on for too long:
  • Touching the key area for more than 10 seconds.
  • Leaving a wet cloth on the touch key area.
  • Spilling a liquid on the key area.
  • By touching 2 or more keys together. All of these can be fixed by turning the hob power off at the wall, then back on again.
