May be this is a problem of your Graphics Drivers. Try to have your Graphics Drivers updated.
You can get your all updated drivers from this link. Please select your correct Operating System (XP/Vista/7) to have all the drivers that support your Laptop model. To have the Video Drivers click on Video in the given link.

Your computer boots in the Safe Mode means some of your system files must have been corrupted and your computer have been trying to restore the recommended setting for your computer. If your computer does not boot in normal mode after trying safe mode, then you should repair/format your OS because some of the files that help the computer booting normally have been corrupted. After that install all the drivers properly to avoid any problems. I hope this should work the best for you.
