The likely cause of no display lights on top drawer could be either due to the controller failing or the thermal fuse blowing which in turn caused the controller power loss.
It would be easy to check if controller is ok if you are game enough to swap it on the bottom drawer controller. (Do not try the bottom controller on the top drawer as you may loose it)
If controller ok, then it is the ardous task of replacing the heater plate assembly module under the drawer as the thermal fuse is an integral part of it.
