Don't know how to scan pics

HI! I just purchased a canon mp 145 printer, i followed the direction on the manual given on how to scan the pics but to no avail. i don't know what to do. pls. giveme the step by step procedureon how to scan the pics. thanks

At first install the CD to your PC. Then connect the printer with data cable. Power on printer. Then go to your desktop & open MP NAVIGATOR .Then select SCAN/IMPORT>Open scanner drive>SCAN.

Canon mp 145 scan not working ink catridge empty... scan wont work without ink catridge?
Hi, The scanning unit is independent from printing unit. You can scan even with empty ink cartridges. At sametime, if you wanna copy documents, you need both scanning and copying units to work. Try reinstalling the Driver from the provided drive CD.

Don’t connect the printer usb cable first
1st you install the driver disc which is come along with the printer and when the software prompt you to connect the cable then plug the usb cable and follow the instruction.
