Message SC101 Functional Problems

SC101 is an exposure problem.check if at on of the machine exposure lamp is light in a few sec. then off then follow this as a guide

Try to reset the code, CLR modes key, then 1 then 0 then 7 and hold the red CLR/STOP key until your screen changes. press option 1 copy SP, then flip the red power switch on the left side of your machine. if you cant locate the switch unplug, but it is much better to use the switch

Hello sir; SC101 means " exposure lamp out" you need replace one.

With the phone screen showing, press the red button at the right-hand side and hold it for about two seconds. The Centro should display a "Welcome" screen, then after a few seconds the phone screen should reappear with the carrier name at the upper left instead of "Phone Off". Each time you press and hold the red button the phone switch on/off..

DF means the temperature sensor is faulty. Replace it. Get a new one from your Simpson agent. Turn power off. Open panel by removing the 3 screws at the rear of panel & swing it up. If you are standing behind the machine look on the left hand side at the top of the circuit board. You will see a small white plug with 3 wires (red-white-black) Very carefully pull this plug toward you off the 3 pin base. The other end is the sensor pushed into the water inlet chamber. Pull it out. Push new sensor into water chamber (make sure black rubber o-ring is on it) Push wiring plug back onto 3 pin base. It can only go on one way. Do not force it or twist it as the 3 pins can be easily broken or damaged. Then close panel & power up.

First, turn off all power to the copier.When looking at the front of the machine, turn the machine counter clockwise so you are now looking at the left side of the machine, go to the lower left hand corner of the left side of the machine. Loosen the screw to the panel which is about 4" wide x 10" high. The screw is in the upper right hand corner. After you remove the panel, carefully slide out the toner waste container, empty it, and rinse it clean with plain water, wipe the outside clean, blow out the machine with canned air, replace waste container, put panel back on and power up your copier.

THIS MACHINE SHOULD HAVE 2 ON SWITCHES. ONE ON THE UPPER RIGHT WHICH ONLY TURNS THE LIGHTS OFF TO THE CONTROL PANEL.ON THE LOWER LEFT SIDE THERE SHOULD BE A RED SWITCH THAT IS THE MAIN POWER SWITCH.THE RED SWITCH IS THE ONE THAT RESETS CODES.

SC101 indicates and exposure lamp problem. To try and correct, turn OFF the copier and then unplug from the wall. Wait 10 seconds and plug it back into the wall, then turn on the copier. Watch to see if the exposure lamp comes on - lift the document handler if you want. If the exposure lamp is working correctly, the scanner will briefly move to the right and the light will turn on then off after it moves to the left.

I dont have a clue what happened...
The screen is blue and has a little red lock on the upper left hand side...
remote only works to turn it on...no other buttons work.

SC101 can be caused by a dirty WHITE LEADING EDGE STRIP. This is located under the left side plastic strip that holds down the exposure glass on the left side. Remove the screws, and flip over the glass holder. Clean the white strip with glass cleaner, and reassemble. If SC101 reappears, the scanner drive pulley screws are loose or broken off. A service technician is required for this repair.
