Hi, I just received the newest version of ipod touch as a replacement for my old nano. I already have a full itunes library and wish to sync my new ipod touch so I can still have all my purchased songs. When I plug in my new ipod itunes says it is syncing, but then it says none of my songs can be found. I bought all my music from the itunes website so I don't see what the problem is. Please help! Thanks so much, you are appreciated!

Once itunes has finished syncing go to your ipod under devies and then click on the music tab and then click on sync music and choose the options you require from entire music library to playlists (my prefered option as you can prior to syncing set up an ipod playlist and add what music you want) or Artist, Genres or Albums. Once you have selected the options you require click on Apply at the bottom right corner. Hope this helps.

How can I delete old podcasts from my Nano?

You will need to plug you nano into your computer and open iTunes. Once iTunes has recognized your iPod, click on the iPods name. There should be a page with a picture of your iPod, at the top of that page there will be a tab labeled "Podcasts," click on it. On that page there will be a check box with a drop-down menu, this is where we will change your podcast settings. The drop-down menu controls which podcasts are synced to you iPod:
All - This will sync all of your podcasts whether played or unplayed 1,3,5,10 most recent - this syncs only the (x) most recently added podcasts to your iPod All unplayed - if you have not played the podcast yet iTunes will sync them to your iPod 1,3,5,10 most recent unplayed - syncs the (x) most recently added unplayed podcasts to your iPod 1,3,5,10 least recent unplayed - syncs the (x) oldest unplayed podcasts to your iPod all new - syncs all of the newest podcasts 1,3,5,10 most recent new - syncs the (x) most recent new podcasts 1,3,5,10 least recent new - syncs the (x) least recent new podcast
those last two are a bit confusing, basically if you add a lot of podcasts you can either get the (x) newest of that set or the (x) least newest (hope that makes sense).
The second drop-down menu controls whether those setting apply to every podcast, or only the ones that you select in the menu underneath that.jsimpsonjr_0.png

How to put videos on your iPod Nano/Touch?

Most of us watch YouTube videos, enjoy DVD movies, and do you want to playback these videos on your iPod? iPod touch both looks and operates pretty much like iPhone with the touch-screen, a much better screen for watching videos. The newest iPod nano also supports video with great picture quality. So, you can enjoy movies, TV shows and lots of videos on your iPod touch and iPod nano now, but how to put the videos on iPod nano/touch? And the output videos also can be with great quality? Here, the following guide is to you on how to put videos on iPod nano/touch.

Step 1: Convert to iPod supported videos

Most of the video files are not MP4 formats that can not be directly used on iPod, please make sure the format is compatible with iPod , if not, you should use some video converters to do the conversion, give this iSkysoft ipod movie converter a try, which can convert all various video formats to iPod MP4 formats.

More information please go to http://www.hd-dvd-ripper.net/ipod-movie-converter.html#139
Step 2: Add files to iTunes

Obviously, using iTunes to sync files to iPod is the choice of many iPod users. After converting the videos, Open iTunes and click "File" to add the videos you just converted to iTunes library;

Step 3: Plug in your iPod to computer, then iTunes will detect your iPod as a device.

Step4: Select your iPod device on the left panel of iTunes, click "Movies" tab, check the videos you want to sync and click "Apply", done.

Ok, just enjoy YouTube videos, DVD movies, TV shows and lots of regular videos on your iPod nano/touch so easily!

Your library needs to be rebuilt to version 8.0 before ITunes will work. Once the database is rebuilt, your songs will reappear in Itunes for use.

Give Itunes the library that your files are in using the folder options. Itunes will rebuild the library off of those settings.

Backup your purchased songs asap.

Sync Old iPod Shuffle & iPod Nano

Are you saying, that you want to know if you can use your old iTunes that you had for your shuffle, on your new ipod? If so, the answer is yes. Copy your itunes music on a pordable disk. When you plug your ipod into your computer, it will recogonize that it is a different ipod. A box will come up and ask you if you want to have a new library. Click yes and then you will have a new library. Put your disk(s) in and copy them over to your itunes.

I hope this helps, but I'm sorry if it doesn't. I didn't exactly get what you were saying. I haven't exactly tried this, but I think it will work. Please rate my solution.

Ipod won't sync to Itunes

When you wiped the old computer and then reconnected to the new computer, it reformatted the player, causing data corruption. I would try all five of these suggestions, but first try uninstalling and reinstalling all Apple/iTunes software: Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore Remember these five basic suggestions if you have a problem with your iPod nano. If one of the following doesn’t help, read on for solutions to specific problems. â Reset your iPod nano. See “General Suggestions,” below. â Retry with a different USB port if you cannot see iPod nano in iTunes. â Restart your computer and make sure you have the latest software updates installed. â Reinstall iPod and iTunes software from the latest versions on the web. â Restore your iPod nano. See “Updating and Restoring iPod Software” on page 50.
