My window 7 laptop do not let me install my lexmark 5470 printer even though I have the driver.

X7350 or X5470 ????

You need to first Uninstall your current printer driver.

Disconnect the USB cable from your printer.

Locate the Start / Programs / Lexmark XXXX Series / Tools / Uninstall Lexmark XXXX Series shortcut.

To start the Uninstall procedure click on the Yes button.

Please be patient and let the operation complete.

As indicated on the last screen, restart the computer by clicking Ok.

For many Lexmark products the Vista driver will work in Windows 7; the Vista driver for your printer is compatible with both the X5470 and the X7350.

I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL MY LEXMARK PRINTER X 5470
Don't connect the printer to your computer yet. Check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties.
Now, there's no specific Lexmark X5470 driver for Windows 7, however, the Vista driver works with it.

Lexmark 5470 printer not working on Windows Vista
If you just connected the printer to your Vista PC, the drivers probably didn't load.
If you haven't yet, you need to install the Lexmark drivers first before you can use your printer. Unplug the printer before installing, then plug it in when prompted by the software.

Drivers for Lexmark x5470 disapear after the laptop is turned on.
Hey,

Fully uninstall the lexmark from your computer, everything, delete the printer from printers and faxes and make sure there is no trace of the printer on the computer.

Then get the files you downloaded and install the printer again.

Everything should work normally.

Lost my cd to install lexmark 5470 need to download to install my printer
Hi you can download the lexmark software from

www.lexmark.com When you open the page, look at the right side where it says drivers and downloads. Click on it and then select driver finder from the list.

On the driver finder page enter your 5470 model into the search field, is it X5470? well try x5470 or 5470 if it says just 5470.

Anyway all the lexmark drivers are there you just need to find your printer from there, then select your windows version and download. Finaly install the software and happy printing.
