My camera does not recognizes the memory card can not take any photos

    Are you using the correct card?The camera will not read or write on a SDHC only the standard SD memory, the following are what it can use.
    Type I and Type II Compact Flash cards
    Microdrives
    SD Memory Card, not the SDHC Card
    MultiMedia Card (with the optional SD-CF1

    What type and size memory card? The A200 uses type I and II CF cards, MicroDrives, and MMC and SD cards with the proper adapter. It will not, for example, SDHC cards.

The card could be locked, there is a little sliding switch on the side of the card. Is the card formatted? Usually on a new card you have to put it into the camera and go through the menus to the format card menu.

Camera can't use memory card

Use the computer to format the card, then see if the camera recognizes the card. If the camera recognzes the card, the use the camera to format the card so it can save to the card. A computer format will not work in the camera,but may allow it to be recognized.
