If you look at the task bar, bottom right of display, there is a louspeaker icon. Right hand click on it and select the volume control.

The internal speakers of my laptop HP620 has stopped working

OK, first make sure you have the volume turned up on both the speakers and the headphones. Make sure you don't have the volume muted.

I'm not sure which operating system you have but I'd bet my bottom dollar that it's Windows Vista, which is known for losing things.

If you know how to get into your Device Manager, then go there and look at your Audio or Sound devices and make sure they are all ok.

In fact open a internet browser and go to google www.google.com at in the search box type the name of your manufacter followed by support. (For ex. HP Support) Once you see HP Support look for Drivers and Downloads and click the link. When you get to the Drivers and Download page put in your computer's model ex. HP DV9000, and the Operating System. Download and install the AUDIO Drivers.

Gateway Internal Speakers Stopped Working

click on Start / Control Panel / Sounds And Audio Devices

look at Speaker Settings / Advanced -- be sure it is set to your internal speakers.

the tabs across the top; go to Audio. -- be sure it is set to your sound card. For example, mine is "SoundMax Digital Audio" ... If there is another device you use that plugs into your USB, it could have stuck on "USB Codex". If it is, just put it on "NameOfSound Card" ...

Good luck, Don't be afraid to look all around inside the Sounds And Audio Devices box. And is this helped, please take a sec to rate me. Thanks!

My HP 610 laptop's inbuild speaker is not working, but with the external speaker it is working.I want to know the price of HP compaq 610 inbuild speaker.

Try the following steps:
Open your laptop carefully (look out for fragile ribbon cables) !
Check for a broken wire going to the internal speaker.
Check for a faulty contact at the audio output jack (these things have a contact which disconnects the internal speaker when a plug is connected).
Temporarily connect any speaker in the place of the internal speaker.
If the problem is still the internal speaker, remove it and go to any good audio components shop and buy an equivalent speaker.
Hope this helps.

No sound from external speakers with toshiba dynadock

if using XP, go to start control panel , sound and audio devices.Under the audio tab make sure the C Media CM106 sound device is selected under sound playback. Then under the volume tab set the volume somewhere in the middle or at the top if you don;t have active speakers . Then Under Speaker settings advanced, make sure the speaker setup is set to Laptop Stereo speakers. Also make sure the speaker volumes are up on the speaker volume button. click ok. If no result check that the cm106 sound decvice was cemented in as I saw it dissaper when I thought i had slected it. I think the key thing here is the device and the laptop speakers setting.

Sony speakers not working

Th problem seems to be that you need to go into your sound control options and make sure that the playback devices are for your internal speakers. When changing that you should unplug your external speakers. Let me know if this helps!
