My dishwasher id a GLD2445RF and it keep flashing CL and on the codes it says to close the door and lock. What else can i do? I made sure it was closed and you can hear it latch.

I believe the CL you are getting means "Child Lock". Under normal circumstances there should be no activity at all on your machine.

Please do the following:
- On the Facial Panel (Where the buttons are located), look for 2 buttons marked together with a line, it should also have a face of a child somewhere on that line.
- Press both these buttons together for 3 - 5 seconds, this should reset the Child Lock.

Error CL appears when the dishwasher control detects door switch is open or door is open. You'll have to open the door and check the continuity of the door switch. If the door seems to be closed then it is the control has detected an issue with the door latch. Check the door latch & seals to make sure door is closing fine. Unplug the dishwasher from power outlet and wait for 10-15 minutes. Restart the dishwasher and check if the error is still there. If error still appears then you'll need to repalce the door switch/door latch. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

The door switch has failed. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that will walk you thru testing and replacing. It may be a different model but the process will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model.

When you see the CL error and the door is indeed shut, pull gently back on the door. if you hear a click and the unit starts running again, it may be the gasket.

Ours lost it's ability to keep the seal, allowing enough 'play' in the locking mechanism for it to think the door was not closed.

If that did not fix the problem then the door switch has gone bad on you. You will need to replace the door switch.

The CL is letting you know that the door was closed. If it continues to show CL it means you need to close and latch before the cycle will run. If it just flashes your okay.

sound as if your having an issue with the latch not closing properly( switches not making contact inside) yo can take apart, requires dropping the front panels and checking the switches, or replace the entire switch costs about 60 bucks part number 154529403 (black handle)
