I had the same issue with my Samsung LN52A550. The 4 screws holding the TV stand are quite small and deep inside the holes. You can not take the stand off without take them out completly. I tried to remove them with magnetic screwdriver, tweezers but didn't help. So, by laying down my TV on its back on my sofa letting the TV bottom and the stand parts outside and lay down beneath to unscrew them again. With the grativity, some screws fall out right away, some may need unscrew a little bit more or shake the stand a little bit. I could say it's a very bad design about this screwing system. So, good luck then.
