F7 indicates either a stuck key or the main control has failed. Try depressing each button one at a time checking for a stuck key. If each one retracts I would replace the main control this is more likely the problem. There easy to replace. Hi. your assessment is correct. when you have normal operations with the stove top and the control panel is blank or non operational, this will confirm either a wiring harness issue or a dead control circuit board. The wiring harness can sometimes become lose or the connectors can become corroded but, in this issue, i am sure its the ECB(electroninc control board). In this case, you will have to replace the board it self.
