Most likely there is a problem with the Flat Panel TV itself. I have had Flat Panel TV over the years that developed all sorts of problems. Some for example only displayed everything in pink or green because they lost the ability to keep a neutral color. Flat Panel TV just go bad out of the blue, just like hard drives, there is a % error in Flat Panel TV that just happens due to production or usage.Usually this can be repaired but it costs more than a new Flat Panel screen is worth. I would suggest if the Flat Panel TV is out of warranty to go to the local store and pickup new one. If you still have a warranty on your Flat Panel TV talk to the company on their 1800 number and see if they can offer you a solution. If they ask you to send it in and you pay postage its a bad deal as postage on a Flat Panel TV is spendy.

Vertical, pencil-thin blue line appears after 10 minutes of viewing (any source)
I would suspect a connection breaking down as the set heats up. A shop will probably have to put the set in a stand to hold it while they check for loose connections or defective components inside. Not a DIY job by any means. If this line went completely through the picture either vertically or horizontally and stayed there then this would have indicated a failure in the Panel itself. A thin Line any where on the screen consisting of one pixel in width is a Panel Failure according to Hitachi.
