I would recommend an Nvidia GeForce GT240 graphics card with 1GB (1024MB) of graphics ram memory.

A) Your stock Power Supply will work.
B) It has 1GB of ram memory.
C) It has 96 Stream Processors.
D) 128-bit interface.
E) 550MegaHertz Core Clock
F) 1800MHz Memory Clock

I would also recommend bumping the Ram Memory up to 2GB, instead of 896MB.

I have a 7300gt nvidea in mine right now... ok, but not the best. runs dx9. and it helps to get the bios update from the emachines site to help with nvidea compatibility. To run most games now, you might need more ram, and for the price, a barebones with your old parts thrown in might be a better deal. The 7300gt is pretty cheap if you are just looking for a quick cheap upgrade for now. It works with the original 300 watt psu and works ok for me with 2.5 gb ram (2-4 gb extra ram realllly helps!). I think tiger direct has some nice deals on barebones and cards, it kinda changes daily.

Hp a705w upgraded to 2gb ram, 160gb hd (sata) cpu running at 2.93gh,\r\nshould be a beast. runns slow and video streaming has slight freeze. HELP. Welcom291

the specs is already good for browsing and some sort of document editing. however, if you wish to play games or do video editing, i suggest you get a good video card. 1gb video card will be good. Even if you have a good amount of ram but your video processing memory is shared, it will definitely slow your computer.

Hi, When I switch on my computer, I am not gettging the dsiplay on my monitor. My monitor is working with other desktop. My RAM is working fine. It seems my board inbuilt VGA card is gone. How do I replace...

You can install a video card in the AGP expansion slot to replace the faulty on-board video. When you connect the monitor to the new video card it should boot uo with the generic VGA video driver, then you need to install the video driver (CD) that was supplied with the video card, then you can the screen resolution to 1024X768 or higher to suit your tastes.

I am trying to find a video card to upgrade my Dell c610 the card is currently 16Mb. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to advise you, your Dell is a laptop and laptops have a built-in video chip on the motherboard and it cannot be upgraded or changed.
The video card used shared RAM, ie it uses part of the main RAM module/s, You maybe be able to increase the video RAM size in the BIOS, but this will reduce the main memory, so you might want to upgrade the RAM in the DELL.
You only other alternative is to buy a later model laptop.

Gateway E-3200 no video signal

hi! there,
there are common factors why no video on your screen.,right one factor is ram,the other are video card, processor and monitor
you can't trouble shoot with out other computer available, tester cann't detected all this,it make easy to parts to parts.disconnect cd room, hardisk and floopy also disconnect your video card and memory card put video card and ram one by one (if youhave nultiple ran) to other computer ,be sure other computer is run good and observed, if no video take the previous video card and put back if there video, possible your video card is busted,or try to put other video card and ram to your pc be sure this are good,if ok select your own part that you think is busted since you said your ram is good, put back to your pc observed.....replace aby busted parts,
take all precaution avoid electric shock wear safety shoes.regards and have a nice day

Mother board problem

sounds like video card driver issue...ensure driver is correct by looking at video card in device manager. Also ensure that system interrupts are being allocated properly.
