Ignore Easyshare software. Download Picasa and Import, sort, email, upload to an online web page etc. your photos using this excellent program. Another way is to simply click Start/My Computer and your camera card should appear there as D: or E: click that and other folders within, until you see your photos. Copy the enclosing folder and paste it where you wish. Try to upgrade to XP it is one of the best.
The C182 isn't a battery charger. It uses standard AA batteries, disposable or rechargeable. If you use rechargeable batteries, you must charge them outside the camera using a standard battery charger.
