Choose the "drivers and downloads" tab
Then choose your operating system from the dropdown box labeled "select OS"
Download the appropriate file, but do NOT install at this time.
Be sure the printer is UNPLUGGED from the PC before installing.
ONLY plug in it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.

Go to this page, Click on the I Agree and your download will begin.
While it is downloading disconnect your USB cable and leave it disconnected.
When you download is complete move the file to a new permanent location such as c:\windows\printer\
Then, run the installer. You will be prompted to attach the USB cable during the install process. DO NOT attach it until prompted to do so.
Once installation is complete, run these two tests from your printer menu lcd.
Print Head Alignment, follow the easy to read instructions.
Print Head Cleaning.
Do those two routines each time you change cartridges.
