I have the same problem, have you tried resetting it && then putting the music back on it?

  • Samey Perl Jan 10, 2011

don't reset it just yet.. it is prob. just an issue of using the wrong format type of music you need to use .mp3 or .wma files for music to play on the riptunes line..watch this -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cixPcI1k8...

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format.
You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable.
For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track.

My mp3 says file format error when I try to listen to the music.

It's possible that the file type of the music file(s) you are trying to listen to are not a supported format of your mp3 player. Your player only supports MP3 and WMA audio formats. You should check the music files you are tying to play to confirm they are of a compatible format.

I got a Riptunes MP3 player, I'm trying to download songs on there from iTunes. The player says there's no file when I try to listen to it.

MP3 players will not play any iTunes music because they are not compatible with the file format. iTunes uses a modified ACC file and the only players that will play them are apple products.
