I was winding a bobbin, the sewing machine made a straining noise and it stopped. The light won't go on and the machine will not work. Any guess as to what the problem could be? I'm thinking a new motor, fuse...? And with problems finding parts, sounds like I'm not going to be sewing with my Elna 6003 any time soon.
I need a manuel for a Elna 6003 quilters designer where can a purchase one???
Something caught inside the machine and jammed the mechanism. It blew a fuse to protect the circuit board. A competent Elna or Janome Dealer should be able to get you machine going in no time.I don't know of any reason to have trouble finding parts for this machine.

I had the same problem. The machine was working great and then nothing. I took it to a dealer and they tried to fix it but couldn't find out what was wrong. After 3 months, they told me I should get a new machine. They said they could send it back to the factory at a cost of $250 and that was shipping and not fixing. I bought a new machine from someone else but I really miss my Elna 6300
My Elna Quilter's Dream Pro also just stopped working. I had it less than a year so I knew repairs would be covered under my waranty. The dealer said her repair people could not get the right part for it since Elna is out of business. We waited another six months and no one would honor the waranty (which now expired) I was told I had a very important gear wear out! My machine was taken to two other repairmen in the area and they could not fix it...Do you know where else I can send it to get it repaired properly?
