I bought this Barbie Girls mp3 player for my daughter and didn't realize that it is compatible with Windows Vista and older. I have Windows 7. How can I get this installed and loaded up for x-mas morning?

Windows 7 has an application to run as earlier versions of windows

  1. Open the Program Compatibility Wizard by clicking the Start button I bought this Barbie Girls mp3 player for my - 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Use an older program with this version of Windows.

  2. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

    I tried this avenue but it still wouldn't install the program to run it. It says that is needs windows media player, but WMP won't let me sync the device without the barbie program apparently. help!

Got 2 kids with Barbie Girls MP3 players. Loaded
You cannot fix it, but if you must do anything see if yo could use a different usb on it. If it doesnt work then you need to change or return it to where you bought it.

The Barbie Girls MP3 Player requires Windows Media Player 11 or higher, so you cannot use it on a Mac unless you run Windows on your Mac with BootCamp. What I would do is register the MP3 player on someone you know's Windows computer and then you can use the online games that come with your MP3 player on a Mac once it is registered.

You have a round button on your Barbie Girls Mp3 player. Right? Well, you have a round button in the middle of the circle that is Pause. On the right and left hand side is the back and forwards buttons. The up and down buttons on it is the volume control. Up is louder. Down is softer. Hope that helped you, deary.

Try restarting your PC once the software has been installed.

I bought one of these for my daughter for Christmas. I didn't bother installing the software that came with the player. Windows Media Player automatically recognised the device allowing me to transfer music to it.
