I checked the wirelss and it told me that I have no internet connection. I checked my internet and my router and they are working fine. I then took the laptop to a fiends and it wouldn't connect to the internet or read anything wireless. I need help. How do I se if if my wireless is working and how do I fix it.

Since you have reinstalled your Operating System, you will have to reinstall all the drivers for your devices and other functionality to work properly.
The best way to obtain the correct drivers for your new Operating System is to download them directly from the manufacturer's support website.
Go to the Dell Support website > Drivers & Downloads page.
You can update your drivers by connecting to internet its not important to know the driver series just put your computer settings to automatic updates after connecting to internet.
I would reccomend you to send your Dell Studio to service, since there are good chances the problem is with Motheboard. I would really reccomend you that! :)
Sounds like an intermittent failure of the LCD (Those can be a pain to isolate when something works, then doesn't etc.) Hopefully the repair depot will get to see the LCD problem this time. As for known issue with that model, I haven't seen any trend with it. A search on the internet didn't show any trend either.
I get this when my laptop does not connect. I check the router and most of the time this is all it it. just either reset it or disconnect it for a time and then reconnect. works for me.
Awesome, I'm glad reseating the lcd cables did the job. Its crazy how the littlest things can cause such a mess sometimes. Your very welcome and when you get the chance, please rate my solution. Hope your weekend is a great one!!
