Hello,

there are two conditions You have to keep:
- call FWD to CO has to be allowed in reg 607 during system programming.
- CO call has to come to extension in DIL1:1 mode.

How do i configure the panasonic kx-tes824 to allow outgoing calls?have done all the settings using the console software from my laptop and everything is working fine but i cant call outside lines.

Hello, How many CO Lines do you have connected to your KX-TES824 Phone system?. The ports that are not connected need to be deactivated. Go to CO -> Detail and uncheck the ports that don't have lines plugged in and click apply or OK

Panasonic KX-T7730, we have a 824 phone system and cordless handsets (kx-tg1711) we cannot make outgoing calls on these handests but can take incoming calls and can transfer calls. how do we programme

  • Locate the program and auto-store button on your telephone. You will be using these to customize many of the features on your KX-T7730. The program button is used to enter or exit programming.

  • 2

Program your outgoing line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to seize when you go off hook. Press "Program" "1" "1" "store" for no line. Press "Program" "1" "2" "Store" for an idle outside line. Press "Program" "1" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line. The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 3

Program your incoming line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to answer when you go off hook. Press "Program" "2" "1 "Store" for no line. Press "Program "2" "2" "Store" for ringing line. Press "Program" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line.

  • 4

Program your flexible CO buttons. These are the inner row of 12 lighted buttons. Your outside lines need to be programmed to these--you can choose any of these 12 buttons in any order. Press "Program" "CO Button" "0" "Outside Line Number" "Store." The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 5

Program any other unused flexible CO buttons for an extension number or any frequently dialed phone number. Press "Program" "CO button" "1" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "CO Button" "2" "9 + Phone Number" "Store". A "9" must be entered at the beginning of a phone number to tell your phone system to seize an outside line before dialing, e.g., "9-1-212-555-1234."

  • 6

Locate the programmable feature buttons (the row of 12 solid buttons on the right). These buttons are basically one-touch buttons that can be set for extension numbers or phone numbers. Press "Program" "(PF) Button" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "(PF) Button" "9 + Phone Number" "Store." Remember to press "Program" again to exit programming.

  • 7

Locate your "FWD/DND" button. This button is used for setting "Call Forward" or "Do Not Disturb" on your telephone. To set call forwarding, go "off-hook" either by lifting the receiver or pressing speakerphone. Make sure you go to intercom and not an outside line. To forward all calls, go off-hook, press "FWD/DND" "1" "extension number" (the extension number that you wish to forward all your calls to) "#". After you hear a confirmation tone, place the receiver on-hook. The steps to set call forwarding for busy/no answer are the same as above, except you will press "2" in place of "1". To cancel call forwarding, press "0" in place of "1".

  • 8

Program "Do Not Disturb," which stops your phone from ringing--any callers will just hear a DND tone. To program, go off-hook, press "Program" "4" "#" on-hook, to set. Press "0" instead of "4" to cancel.

  • 9

Locate the message button--this works in coordination with your message light at the top right of your telephone. If the light is lit, press "message" to hear a message left to you either by another extension or a voice mail system. The message button can only be programmed as a message or one-touch button. To program as a message, press "Program" "Message" "3" "Store." To program as a one-touch, press "Program" "Message" "1" "Extension Number" or "Program" "Message: "2" "9 + phone number."

  • 10

Return your KX-T7730 to its default settings by pressing "Program" "#" "*" "Store."

Hi i have a panasonic KX-TES824 installed with 2 co lines and 4 extensions. I want the ringtones to be different for internal telephones (ie call between the extensions) and the CO Lines (when call comes...

A Panasonic Analog PTS ring sound is not adjustable, however, the cadence is. An outside call rings with a single ring, an internal call is either voice announce or a double ring. The digital phones from Panasonic have either 8 or 30 different tones, but that's a different system.

    Change Extension No's

You have to go to your phone switch, I believe that all Panasonics are modular connectors. Look for a label that will correspond to your extension number. Find your other extension and then unplug and plug.

    Problem with extension and voicemail

    1. Can be done but you have to have installer access to the system. You could also move the extensions at the phone system.

    2. Is his call forwarding set (720x 165 #)? 720 sets forwarding for both intercom and outside calls.

    Voicemail box not set up

I have seen the same problem with some users (I look after the PABX) so I just go into the maintenance console and set up the foreward to the default voice mail number. Or you can try the following:

CALL FORWARDING HANDSET 1. Press the Speaker Phone Key on your handset 2. Then Press the FWD/DND Key 3. Then select the Forward type you desire - Key 2 - Immediate Key 5 - Busy/No Answer 4. Then dial the internal extension number (eg.444) or voicemail pilot (201) 4a. If forwarding to external number dial 0 then dial outside telephone number 5. Dial # then press the Speaker Phone key

Use the voice mail that is set for your system.

    Hope this helps

Diverting incoming calls to another office

You have posted this question under the Panasonic system, but have mentioned the Avaya IP Office 5410. I can't help you with that.

However, for the "other user" that has the same problem, if you're trying to forward calls directed to your extension, you can forward them to any outside telephone number by using the Call Forward/Do Not Disturb (FWD/DND) button. The code numbers depend on your telephone system (the KX-T7633 can be used on multiple systems), and how your system was programmed by your installer, so I can't describe the exact procedure. Also, your extension may have been blocked from using this feature by your installer.

We have a support package that allows us to make all the changes you need over the Internet for a flat annual fee. If you want your whole system to work properly and all changes to be made for you at a flat budget, call us at 877-236-8376.
