I can not find the record button on my jazz DVZ100. I just get a red camcorder picture. Shouldn't it turn green at some point. I have my memory card and batteries in. Also, no idea what happened to my instructions. Any idea where I would get replacement instructions. No idea what half these buttons are for. Thank you

SOURCE: Record off the tv.

Hi there and welcome to FixYa.

Hmmm. Ok, I need to know a few things. Does your TV have an RF out jack? Do you have a VCR? And last but not least...does your Jazzy have an RCA type video input jack?

Let me know and depending on your answers, I have a workaround you can use.

Rob

Where is the battery door on my Jazz DVZ100 located and how do I open it

It's on the side of the camera opposite the flip-out LCD. Push the round button just behind the rubber lid covering the connection ports to unlatch it.

I put in a sd memory card from my laptob but, it says no card when I tried to record.

you need to make sure that the SD card is compatible with the camcorder. Some camcorders can only read SD cards, and not SDHC cards.

Hope this helps!

My jazz camcorder dvz100 doesn't work in win7..can you help?thanks rocky

Don't connect the camera to the PC, just record to the memory card and then remove the card and put it in a card reader to get the contents in a PC. That will work no matter what OS you use.

When i try to format the SDHC 8GB memory card the recording screen display's (Waiting....) for about 1 to 2 second's, then goe's to the normal recording screen and when i push the record button it...

Hi, look here's what to do, get yourself, or access to, A Computer, and a USB SD card reader, now, insert your 8GB SD card into the reader/writer, It will show up as a HDD in My Computer, and then, Format it FAT32. Now return it to the Camcorder, when turned on again, the Camera NOW should "See" the SD card. You may even be asked if you wish to Format, again, say YES, and do so, if NOT asked that;s OK too. as, you should now be able to, in either case, be able to have access to the SD card, and can change your phone settings accordingly, the extra storage will simply be "Picked Up" by the Camcorders software.
If this doesn't happen, then there maybe a problem with THAT SD card or the Camcorder? try another SD card before thinking the camcorder has a problem though.

Jazz DV151 camcorder didn't come with an owner's manual

You're totally right!

The button with the red circle and a small line through it is the on/off button. The button underneath it with the garbage can is the delete button, the red button in the middle is the record button, and the four buttons around it are the direction keys, and the button with the triangle/square is the play/stop button, so when you're reviewing clips, you can stop and start them.

I hope that helps!

How Do I Make An MPEG Recording?

You can record video with audio onto the Memory Card. Follow the instructions below. Recording moving pictures onto a MEMORY CARD 1. Insert a Memory Card into the slot on the camcorder. 2. Set the mode switch to MEMORY CARD position. 3. Set the power switch to CAMERA mode. 4. Press the START/STOP button, the images are recorded on the MEMORY CARD in MPEG4. * You can record 10 ~ 20 seconds continuously. * You can record a still image on the Memory Card by pressing the Photo button instead of the START/STOP button. 5. Press the START/STOP button to stop the recording. Notes: * Moving images that you recorded are saved in *.asf file format on the Memory Card. * The moving picture images on a Memory Card are smaller size and lower definition than those on a Tape. * The sound is recorded in mono. * The following functions cannot be operated in M.REC Mode. - DIS (Digital Image Stabilizer), Digital Zoom, Fade, Program AE, Digital Special Effect, Slow Shutter. * Don't insert or eject a tape during Memory card recording as it may record noise. * Don't eject the Memory Card during recording as it may break the data on the Memory Card or the Memory Card itself.
