When cleaning the machine the brewunit got stuck and cannot move. It feels like it is askew with the right hand side (looking from the front) loose and the left side locked. The release lever is locked to the right also. I've tried some force but don;t want to overdo it and cause permanent damage. How can I free the unit and get it working again? P.S. I am a fairly competent engineer, but without a service manual I have no idea how these things lock and interact with the rest of the machine.

SOURCE: When cleaning my Gaggia Titanium the brewunit got

Remove the dredge drawer. Open the door. On the left side and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single screw. Remove the screw. Grab the handle and pull carefully, but firmly with a quick ****. The brew group should come out. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide the piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position. If your brew group did not come out please call your service center.
To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not just push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must close the door and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door and insert the brew group. Done

The brew group is stuck and won't come out. What to do?

Hi. Its not an easy fix. The brewunit is stuck in cycle, with the injector pipe holding it in. The injector pipe is at the back behind the brewunit. You just need to use force by wriggling and jiggling the brewunit. There maybe some screws in the brewunit, that may help you if you undo them. If you do get the unit out, then you have to work out WHY it has not completed the cycle, so when you put the unit back in, that is not going to get stuck again. Ive spent 30 mins getting out a unit, only for it to get stuck again. For some reason, its easier to get the brewunit back out the second, or third time you try it.Sometimes you may have to break something to get it out. Id recomend taking it to a repairer and let them work it out. It can take hours of work and care must be taken, not to do too much damage. Even disassembly and reassembly or the outer panels canbe a challenge on these models. Saeco are a good machine, but are a dumb design when ti comes to stuck brew units. Sorry I cant be more help with this problem, but I hope its just a soiled brewunit, and once you've removed and cleaned it, It'll work fine again. Weekly cleaning tablet should stop it from happening again. Dazza

My CRTR9300ASO Frigidaire Front Load Washer makes a loud thumping noise and moves slow spinning. Any ideas what might be wrong?

if you lucky, you have a broke shock absorber on the bottom. if your luck is not so good......well we will find out.

open the door on your washer. locate the big silver basket in the middle. put your hand in side and push up. now this will move but we are looking for it to feel very loose, not springy. if your luck is bad you will hear and feel it freely clunck around as if the inner basket is coming loose. if this is the case then you will be looking at a very expensive repair. like $350 and up

Machine is stuck in rinse cycle and brewunit

Take the brew unit out again, and try to twist the rotational mechanism so that the little arrows in the front of the axis align. This should allow you to insert the unit.
On insertion, you might also need to push the little handle on the front of the brew unit to allow the coffee trough to fit.

BrewUnit Blocked Error

The brew unit sensor may have become disconnected from the main circuit board. If you are very brave, you can UNPLUG THE UNIT, remove the top panel and check that all the wires running into the circuit board are connected.

Otherwise, the sensor may have failed and this will require service.

Hi molly girl.
You can try to clean your Brewunit. Most of the times when that message appears, it means the brewunit is dirty

You can have more info in the manual if you dont have it:

Mis-register

Hi There, 1. Make sure there is no dye film stuck to the print roller. This will cause card mis-registration (you will see feathered edges or a blurry effect. If there is dye film stuck to the print roller peel it off using adhesive tape or similar (the dye film will stick to the tape). You can move the print roller round with your finger quite easily. Then clean with a normal cleaning card. Afterwards check your print start and end position (you may be printing off the end of the card - also snaps the ribbon often!) 2. Make sure the other pinch rollers are really clean. 3. ** Check the warranty status first! *** Remove the right-hand side panel (2 screws on the side, 3 at the back). Check for free play on the card transport stepper motor pulley (there should be none!). Check the belt tension is not too loose (motor is adjustable - loosen 4 screws)). Hold the print roller with your left hand while trying to turn the large plastic pulley. You should feel no play. The grub screw on the pulley can sometimes come loose (1.5mm hex key required). Do NOT try to use a ball ended hex key. This only rounds off the grub screw socket. I hope the above helps! Regards, MC.
