SOURCE: ACER LCD monitor no image, appears white color only

Quickly go to the Acer website and check FAQ's and while there also find out how to get an RMA to return it. My guess is you have a bad monitor. At $200 roughly for a replacement I would hustle. I am assuming you got nothing but a white screen but did get video on your TV.

SOURCE: Viewsonic VE175b Monitor Powers Up Doesn't Display Windows OS

Hi; I had the same problem. I know that sometimes devices require you to perform some type of '10-30 second' "hold" of one or some of its buttons in order to 'reset' the device, so to speak. So, having said that, try this:

1) Turn your monitor off (no green light) but leave it plugged in.
2) Leave it off for about 10 seconds.
3) Hold the [2] button on your monitor (the one to the immediate LEFT of your monitor's POWER button).
4) While holding the [2] button, now press and HOLD your POWER button.
5) Wait for your image to appear and STAY onscreen for about 5 seconds, then release both buttons.
6) Your monitor should retain its onscreen image.

Hope this helps! Good Day to all!

It may have blown fuse in the backlight inverter board, that will be the first place to look.
Post pictures if you can.

I've had my compaq presario cq61 for about 2-3 years. A while back it would occasionally have a kind of shaky/blinky screen but just in the past week it's like the screen has stopped working.

The problem may be due the graphics card or data cable or backlighting.

The data cable can be severed over time though opening and closing the display. This can be replaced.
The backlighting/inverter dies, some-times the windows desktop screen can be seen if one looks carefully. This can also be replaced.

Try connect your notebook to another computer's monitor via VGA or HDMI out.

If this works then the problem lies with your LCD screen.

Take care!

ViewSonic VA1930wm Screen stays on for about 2 seconds, and then goes off. 1) If no computer is connected you get a "no signal" message which stays for about 1 seconds and then goes off; blue...

Very typical of View Sonic. Sounds like a back backlight or inverter. I would go to www.viewsonic.com and open up a RMA. Most view sonic screens have a 3 year warranty. They will repair at no cost ..(if it is within that period) There is a date code on the back of the screen that will help you validate the above information.

LCD monitor not working, has power but black screen

1) You can ave bad caps without seeing the bulging tops or bottom seals.
2) You need to find out if you do have 12~18vdc feeding the inverter circuits.
3) I can be bad lamps also.
See example of failed caps, lamps here: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Wanting to find out if my monitor is going out, or if theres

From what you are describing this is not a monitor issue. If the monitor were dying you'd see faults in the images, dead pixels, or random poweroffs. Loading windows slowly has nothing to do with your monitor. It is likely that you have picked up some sort of virus, spyware or malware that is slowing your system down. Have you installed any toolbars in your web browser lately? Those are notorious for ruining PC performance.

ViewSonic Monitor screen gone black

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Sound on the View Sonic Monitor

Yes, they are on the front of the screen. There should be a volume up and down button right on the front (usually to the left of the power). If there isn't a separate up and down, try the Menu or 1 and 2 buttons.
